So the week of January 19, 2004 is when the THQ developers used to create the Smackdown vs Raw models. How I remember what those models look like 22 years later, I’m not sure, but these are the things I notice. #WWE04

Said that in front of 2 McMahons. Danielson was hoping to get fired...which in a pre-AEW world was especially risky. But how fun would Danielson have been in ROH and NJPW at this time!
Daniel Bryan calls out Mick Foley's hypocrisy, mentioning TNA in the process.

Really crazy how skinny Punk was in AEW. It was almost jarring when he returned how light he looked.
CM Punk and Eddie Kingston’s rivalry officially started with a heated confrontation backstage 5 years ago today 👀🔥

Something to Wrestle about to have the Shawn Michaels 02-10 run.
🚨 Bruce Prichard is expected to retire from his position as Executive Director in WWE after WrestleMania 43 next year. (PWlnsider)

Bobby Fish should have been fired on the spot. This is why Hogan only trusted working with his friends in WCW, because underneath guys will try to take advantage of capitalizing off of the starpower of the new top guy. This was strike 1 for AEW with Punk

If this theme came out today, you wouldn’t be able to convince me this isn’t AI. Rob Van Dam’s TNA theme song is so hilariously good.

I can't stress enough how much I love this spot. A very creative ending to a match.
According to Cody Rhodes, Big Show stepping through the table on the outside in their tables match went exactly the way it was supposed to. I would have bet money that was a botch, and that says a lot about how well it was executed. Big Show's face is what sold it for me. Anyone can take the bump, but it takes a real pro to make a planned spot look like it caught him off guard.

Saturn with the dive off the ladder that’s standing on a table propped in the corner. Not sure I’ve seen this one before. #ECW96

There’s a story to be told here on TV. Lashley getting the monster push. Goes through fan favorites like Cassidy, Speedball, etc. MVP on the mic talking down about the roster not being on Syndicates level could draw heat. Leading to Lashley vs Ospreay. It would be interesting
Here's Dave Meltzer (pre hair dye) saying FTR vs Hurt Syndicate was supposed to happen at All In Texas. But there were issues from the Hurt Syndicate not wanting to lose. FTR ended up winning Tag Titles at Forbidden Door after Hurt Syndicate exited ring.

Are we going to pretend 2000 wasn’t part of the Attitude Era? Attitude Era was based around big personalities leading to a fight with twists and turns on their way to the match. Story > Character > Matches

Attitude Era matches actually had alot of terrible in-ring work. Fans only remember the wild crashes and crazy segments, not the actual wrestling.

I don’t think anyone predicted him as the next face of WWE too early, but WM20, with the news that Brock was leaving, was the first sign. From 02-March 04, this was the ranking of new stars: 1. Brock 2. Orton 3. Cena 4. Batista Brock left, Randy failed as a face, Cena moved up.
When did people finally realize that Cena is the future face of wrestling? Like what match or moment?
