The temporary speed restrictions on the A20 has been a colossal failure from TfL. It has taken a Crown Court to expose the scale of this failure.
This failure didn't need to happen. Sadiq Khan and TWO Secretaries of State have been asked to investigate. They refused. They have chosen to turn a blind eye to this.
This isn't just mild inconvenience. People have had points on their licenses and lost their livelihoods as a result.
The excuses need to stop. We must have an independent investigation.

Kemi on 🔥 ! You cannot build a country’s future by exhausting the people who keep it going.
Behind every business is someone who risked their savings. Behind every payslip is someone trying to build a life. They deserve more than another Budget asking them to settle for “getting by”.
London needs thriving high streets, room for businesses to grow and a future families can afford. So does the rest of Britain.
My test for this Budget is simple: does it make working hard, employing someone or starting a business feel worth it?
For too many people, it still doesn’t.
Britain’s ambition hasn’t disappeared. Its patience with being held back has.

Ending Violence Against Women.
Honoured to attend an event attended by Her Majesty Queen Camilla, organised by my dear friends, Dr Monica Devendran @DrmonicaD, and Prem Kumar @prem.kumar0210 and hosted by The Queen’s Companion, The Most Hon. The Marchioness of Lansdowne, DL. The Royal Family @theroyalfamily .
The event was expertly presented by Fiona Bruce, host of @bbcquestiontime.
Guest speakers included the Government Commissioner for Domestic Abuse, Dame Nicole Jacobs @CommissionerDA former Minister for Women Equality, Jess Phillips MP @jessphillips, Carrie Johnson @carrielbjohnson, and Catherine Roper @wiltspoliceCC, the current Chief Constable of Wiltshire Police and former Head of Scotland Yard’s Professionalism Department that remembered me as one of her most active volunteers during Covid Lockdowns @metpoliceuk.
Most importantly, there were powerful testimonies from victims and the many volunteer organisations working tirelessly to support them. End Violence Against Women International (@EVAWintl). #EVAWG #Wiltshire #Coalition

I am delighted and honoured to have been longlisted to become the Conservative candidate for Mayor of London in 2028.
London has given me the opportunity to build a life I could once only have imagined. Having left Albania during the turmoil of 1997, I know how precious freedom, security and opportunity are. This city is my home, where I have built my career and where I am raising my children. I want to give something back to the city that has given me so much.
I am standing because I believe Londoners deserve to feel safe walking home at night, to have a realistic chance of owning a home, and to rely on transport that gets them to work and back to their families. They deserve a city where hard work is rewarded, businesses can flourish and young people can see a future for themselves.
Through my work in business and my time campaigning and listening to residents, I have seen both London’s extraordinary potential and the frustration when the basics fail. I want to bring that experience, determination and ambition to City Hall: backing our police, getting London building, improving our transport and championing the investment and enterprise our capital needs.
As a mother, these ambitions are deeply personal. I want my children, and every child growing up here, to inherit a London that is safer, more hopeful and full of possibility.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged and supported me. There is a selection process ahead, and I look forward to earning the trust of members and sharing my vision for the city I love.

We will abolish stamp duty on your home, we will end the Family Farm Tax and Family Business Tax. And we will go further, with responsible plans so that families can keep more of what they earn.
