Campaigning for this elections, I keep hearing young Black men say politics doesn't affect them. Then the same guys complain about petrol prices and broken traffic lights in Joburg and Pretoria, and tell me they're not registered. Brothers, every one of those is politics. Stay out and someone else decides for you.
Agreed. Clear comms are what stop panic.
Binance says user funds are safe: all losses will be covered from SAFU and company funds, with $6.34B+ reserved and ~$3B frozen.
Only trust official Binance channels, ignore DMs, and never share your seed phrase or 2FA.
Binance hack is scary
@cz_binance has been brilliant on the crisis comms the past 12 hours
A masterclass
Binance: "We will weather this storm."
• Asset recovery has begun
• $6.34B+ in company funds reserved to cover losses, $5B of it already in the exact tokens affected
• A further $3B frozen with partners' help
All user funds to be verified via Proof of Reserves.
Binance has begun recovering affected assets for users and continues to work with law enforcement, issuers, blockchain intelligence firms and industry partners to trace, freeze and recover additional funds.
The company has already publicly committed to cover losses through company funds in the prior announcement.
Binance has already reserved over $6.34B of company funds to cover this incident. $5B of these funds are already held in the exact token assets that were impacted. We are completing the purchase of the remaining amount by buying token assets through market channels and OTC channels. We are doing this to match the format of the remaining token assets and address any asset shortfalls. This step can take longer because some tokens may have low liquidity and OTC settlement also takes time. We will share more progress as soon as we can.
These figures do not include frozen or protected assets, which remain subject to ongoing recovery and verification. Currently, $3bn has been frozen, with thanks to our industry partners. We are working with partners and law enforcement to recover the frozen assets. We will continue to use company resources to cover confirmed shortfall and will provide further verified updates as recovery efforts progress. Ultimately, all user funds will be verified publicly through our Proof of Reserves.
We will weather this storm. Thank you for the support.
A direct result of Apartheid spatial planning which the DA government said it doesn’t exist

In the matter of the DA vs ActionSA and others, The Electoral Court has just delivered what can only be called a snotklap. Eina.
Imagine being so impressed by an old woman dancing that you agree to vote for her just because she was dancing to an Amapiano song! You don’t even understand her policies on service delivery! This is how we got Zuma for 9 years because stupid things impress you!

Great companies don't need to host private exclusive lunches with selected promotional "guests". They only need to communicate clearly and transparently with the market via public announcements for the benefit of all. Sad to see @Afrimat_Ltd going down this gutter.

MAJOR DEVELOPMENT:
*ACTING MINISTER OF POLICE TO SEEK CABINET CONCURRENCE FOR APPOINTMENT OF LT GENERAL NHLANHLA MKHWANAZI AS NATIONAL HEAD OF THE DPCI*
The Acting Minister of Police, Mr Firoz Cachalia has, pursuant to the powers vested in him in terms of the South African Police Service Act 68 of 1995, initiated the process to appoint a National Head of the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (DPCI), commonly known as the Hawks.
In accordance with Section 17CA(1)–(3) of the Act, the appointment of the National Head of the DPCI is made by the Minister of Police, with the concurrence of Cabinet. The Act further provides for the reporting of the appointment to Parliament.
The Acting Minister has submitted a Cabinet Memorandum seeking Cabinet’s concurrence for the appointment of Lieutenant General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi as the National Head of the DPCI. The Memorandum will be presented at the earliest opportunity during a Cabinet sitting.
The DPCI plays a critical role in South Africa’s fight against organised crime, corruption, and other serious priority offences. This is a priority for the Police Reset Agenda. The appointment of a National Head is important in ensuring strong leadership, strategic direction and operational effectiveness in addressing these crimes.

It is always great to unmask anonymous attempts to stop ActionSA from contesting the elections, even if this one should have been written in crayon.
It seems the ANC is running scared of ActionSA. Good, we are flattered. Run ANC Run.
DEVELOPING:
Bopha Foundation has announced that it will initiate legal proceedings against the IEC this Friday - demanding for the deregistration of ActionSA.
The foundation asserts that ASA is not in compliance with its governing constitution.
The NPO states that internal democratic procedures have been bypassed.
We've reached out to Action SA for comment.
