How in the world is SMU ranked? Their loss to Louisville looks terrible now that they are 2-3. They’ve struggled with Missouri State and Boston College at home.
Pitt is 5-0 and below them? So is Nebraska? Kentucky 4-1 and was ranked last week. Northwestern?
Small AP Poll point:
Kentucky: Road wins at Texas A&M and South Carolina, 2 Buy Game Ws, Loss to No. 6 Alabama when leading at half
Houston: 3 buy game wins, win at home over UCF after trailing by 17, loss on the road to No. 11 Texas Tech
Houston ranked, Kentucky not. Why?
Boise State: Lost to No. 13 Oregon, road win vs Western Michigan, wins at home vs Memphis, FCS South Dakota and 1-4 Utah State
Is that better than Kentucky?
This Kentucky team is going to be an elite shooting team. Excited to see how Mark Pope can fit them to his system. He went away from that last year and has returned to it now with two stretch 4s
This is the best argument for the 24 team playoff. Look at the elite scheduling that has happened in college basketball as a result of the NET rankings and the size of the NCAA Tournament. The risk of hard scheduling is greatly reduced.
“24 ruins the tradition of college football”
Players are getting paid $3 million a year and transferring 4 times
Teams are playing 3 FCS schools to protect their record for the playoff
But yeah 24 teams and getting rid of the Poptart bowl will definitely ruin CFB
The save college sports act is going to be a disaster. Everyone will want it repealed in a year. Bookmark this now.
I always think this is a weird argument. Everyone wants to fill up their stadiums and it’s hard when it’s 100 degrees and the opponent stinks.
My CFP Predictions — Based on what I expect the committee to do with these teams based on what I expect their records to be
Greg Sankey just screwed Kentucky. What kind of commissioner does that to his most profitable team?
OH MY GOD SANKEY'S THREATS WORKED
Per @JonRothstein, Mark Mitchell heads back to Missouri...
This is a WILD turn, but Missouri avoids any punishments & this is a huge add for the Tigers. Mitchell will be eligible now for them pending court proceedings.
This is literally just about Mark Mitchell. What is the SEC’s problem with their biggest revenue driver in the second biggest revenue sport? Would they do this to Alabama football?
