Today, Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey signed on to the two cases at the Supreme Court of the United States that could take away your right to own an AR-15.
Viramontes v. Cook County and Grant v. Higgins are both pivotal cases in answering the question presented to the court:
"Whether the Second and Fourteenth Amendments guarantee the right to possess AR-15 platform and similar semiautomatic rifles."
I didn't see a press release from the AG's office. He's speaking for the whole state on this. I can't be the only one who strongly disagrees with him.
This election, with your vote for State Representative and State Senator you are choosing the people who will select Maine's next Attorney General and Secretary of State.
The last day to early vote is tomorrow October, 29th. Election day is Tuesday, November 3rd.
Tip of the iceberg.
🚨#BREAKING: #FBI Boston Special Agent in Charge Ted Docks joined Maine U.S. Attorney Andrew Benson & our partners @OIGatHHS, @HSINewEngland, & @IRS_CI at a news conference today to announce the arrests of six Maine residents & the disruption of an alleged long-running health care fraud scheme that defrauded Maine’s Medicaid program - funded by taxpayers - out of hundreds of thousands of dollars for services that were never provided.
The owner & operator of Community Home Health Care, Noora Abd, &Faysal Kalayaf Manahe, were also charged with allegedly obstructing our investigation. 🚨 UPDATE: Trump DOJ and Harmeet Dhillon are going to send federal ELECTION MONITORS to the polls in Portland and Lewiston, MAINE, for the midterms — home to a CRUCIAL US Senate election that could decide the chamber
Good. NO CHEATING.
They twice REFUSED to hand DOJ Maine's full voter rolls, and Democrats are already promising to "monitor the monitors"
It's the first time federal observers have been sent to Maine since Democrat Shenna Bellows became Secretary of State in 2021
DOJ plans to send 1,000 monitors nationwide this year, up from 289 in 2022
If everything is clean, Democrats have nothing to worry about! Why stress? 🤔

🚨 BREAKING 🚨
ATF Releases NFA guidance in response to the Texas NFA lawsuit:
"Effective October 9, 2026, ATF will no longer require individuals to seek ATF approval under the NFA before making or transferring short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, silencers, and “any other weapon[s]” as defined in 26 U.S.C. § 5845(e). ATF will also no longer require such items to be registered in the National Firearms Registration and Transfer Record. These policies apply uniformly to anyone otherwise subject to these requirements, not just to the plaintiffs in the litigation."
If Augusta Democrats hadn't blocked no tax on tips and no tax on overtime in Maine a lot of homes would have extra income, that they earned and the government couldn't take, to heat their homes this winter.
Instead, that money gets taken by Augusta and wasted. Taxpayers get stuck with a $1.3 Billion budget shortfall going into the next legislature.
Fire Shenna Bellows.
You can vote to Fire Shenna by voting for Republicans for State Representative and State Senator. The party with the most elected seats in the legislature picks the Secretary of State, Attorney General and State Treasurer.
The power to bring accountability and integrity to the SOS and AG Offices is in your hands.
Use it. Show up and vote the entire ballot.
🚨EXCLUSIVE: After 228 days, Shenna Bellows has finally responded to our FOAA request about where absentee ballot return envelopes were sent before the 2025 election.
She previously failed to name the agency at a press conference and before Maine's Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee.
We can now reveal that the envelopes were sent to the Center for Civic Design, a Maryland nonprofit with ties to Bellows and funding from Soros- and Arabella-linked grantmakers.
Beckwith v. Frey...Yes, that AG Aaron Frey. This amicus brief is advocating for the Supreme Court of the United States to take up a challenge to Maine's 72 hour waiting period. As Mainers, our right to keep and bear arms shall never be questioned.
A right delayed is a right denied.
Thank you to the National Rifle Association and Second Amendment Foundation for their work on this.
"Academic learning is definitely going to take a backseat to all of these other pieces," - Maine Department of Education Commissioner Pender Makin in 2023.
She wasn't lying. Things will not change if the Mills/Pingree/Augusta Dems regime continues to hold power.
You need to vote for change. Vote the entire ballot. State House, State Senate and School Board have more impact on you and your family's day-to-day life.

Portland Pravda Herald
The Press Herald promised transparency to readers, vowing to reveal who funds their leftist propaganda machine. That was a lie. They never did. Then they accepted no-bid contracts to run paid propaganda for Maine's failing school system.
None of that was disclosed by the Press Herald. All of it was exposed by the actual journalists @TheMaineWire.
Now the ding bat CEO has the audacity to criticize the journalists who've exposed the unethical behavior of the National Trust for Local News.
Same playbook and players here in Maine.
Throw in George Soros’s Open Society Foundations helping to fund taking over the majority of Maine's papers with the Maine Trust for Local News.
Arabella Advisors has given large amounts of money to the Maine People's Alliance and other left-wing Maine NGOs over the years.
For a party that hates Oligarchs, the Maine Dems and their allied NGO infrastructure sure do rely on them a whole lot...
Every Maine Voter Needs to Read This...
"Then-Rep. John Andrews (R-Paris) asked the Maine Commission on Governmental Ethics and Election Practices to investigate whether Jackson had submitted a false Allagash address in filings with the commission...During the Ethics Commission proceeding, Andrews specifically raised concerns about Jackson signing off on his own reimbursements and about some payments not requiring receipts."
I'm glad I filed this complaint several years ago. It's important to speak up when no one else does, even if you lose the first round.
Indispensable reporting.

Never forget these are the people who want to take away your gun rights. You can't give them legislative power.

Whoever controls the Maine legislature next session will pick the next Attorney General and set the state's gun law policy for the next two years.
Your gun rights are on the ballot this November with your vote for State Representative and State Senator.
It's a race in the voting booth between pro-liberty and anti-liberty policy. Make sure you do your part and show up and vote.
We've made great gains in freedom on the federal level; we need to protect those gains on the state level.
Thank you to WVOM for a great discussion on all things firearms rights this morning.
REWIND 08 13 Republican for State Senate John Andrews 1315 | VOM
Huge win. We need to protect this on the state level. Only way we do that is Republican majorities in the Maine House and Maine Senate.
Your gun rights are on the ballot, because if Augusta Dems keep power your gun rights are on the menu.
MAINE VOTERS DESERVE REAL ELECTION SECURITY - NOT AN HONOR SYSTEM.
Congress needs to pass the SAVE Act. Even if they do, the SAVE Act only applies to federal elections. Maine state and local elections need their own bill in the state legislature to conform to the SAVE Act when it passes.
This November when you vote for State Representative and State Senator - you are voting for election security over the current honor system with no accountability.
Right now, you can register to vote in Maine by simply signing a paper claiming you’re a citizen. No passport. No birth certificate. No photo ID required at the polls for state and local races.
I want to fix that when I get to the State Senate. I will introduce the “Full Authentication of Identity for Registration (FAIR) Act”. The FAIR Act would require hard documentary proof of U.S. citizenship to register and valid photo identification to cast a ballot in every state and local election - Governor, State Representative, State Senator, county offices, municipal races, and ballot questions.
The FAIR Act will take the core protections of the federal SAVE Act and apply them where they matter the most, state and local elections right here in Maine.
If Republicans win the State House and State Senate this November, this common-sense bill can pass. The choice is clear and that choice is up to YOU.
You must vote the entire ballot this November. Your vote for State Representative and State Senator have the most impact on your day-to-day life. Every vote in the legislature on every bill in Maine for the next two years will be decided on election day. Whoever has the majority makes ALL the decisions and picks the Secretary of State, Attorney General and Treasurer.
Choose wisely my friends.

MAINE NGOs DISTRIBUTED NEARLY TWICE AS MANY SYRINGES AS THERE ARE PEOPLE IN THE STATE IN 2025:
According to a 2025 Maine CDC report, Maine non-governmental organizations (NGOs) distributed almost twice as many syringes as there are people in the state. These organizations distributed 2,696,610 syringes in 2025. The U.S. Census Bureau estimated Maine’s population at 1,415,000 that year, equaling 1.91 syringes per person. The 2025 figure is down slightly from 3,188,444 syringes distributed in 2024. Combined, 5,885,054 new syringes were distributed in 2024 and 2025, the Maine CDC reported.
Among states reporting comparable data, North Carolina was the next closest. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Safer Syringe Initiative reported 8.2 million syringes distributed versus a population of 10.8 million, or 0.76 syringes per person - about 2.5 times lower than Maine’s rate. Maine may lead the nation in syringes distributed relative to population based on these numbers.
The Maine CDC report said the syringes in 2025 went to 11,658 program participants - 2,696,610 syringes for fewer than 12,000 people. Funding for these organizations should be tied to the number of participants they help reduce from the roughly 12,000, rather than the number of syringes distributed.
SYRINGE PIPLINE AND ACCOUNTABILITY BREAKDOWN:
These syringe service programs or SSPs are certified by the Maine CDC and must register with the Department of Environmental Protection as biomedical waste producers to meet biowaste disposal rules. The organizations collect large numbers of used syringes, but once a clean syringe is distributed there is no guarantee it will be safely returned or will not end up in public spaces such as a child’s soccer field.
Once an organization hands out a clean syringe, it is no longer legally responsible if a user discards it improperly. Some programs offer a 1-for-1 exchange, but state law does not require it. An individual with no syringes to return can receive up to 100 per visit.
After those 100 syringes leave the organization’s possession, they are no longer classified as biomedical waste under Department of Environmental Protection rules. They become “household or home-generated sharps.” Maine’s biomedical waste rules, written more than 35 years ago primarily for responsible home insulin use, have not been updated to reflect widespread drug addiction and the large volume of syringes now in circulation. This needs to change.
WHAT WE CAN DO TO FIX THIS IN THE NEXT LEGISLATIVE SESSION:
In the next legislative session, lawmakers should work on harm-reduction funding for syringe service programs that track and tie government and grant support to the number of the roughly 12,000 participants who stop using drugs due to the programs requesting funding. Incentivize NGOs to get people off of drugs instead of handing out needles 100 at a time. Funding should only be given to organizations that collect 100% for the used needles that they distribute.
Equally important, a bill updating Maine’s biomedical waste statutes and rules is needed to address used needles so discarded syringes do not become litter in public spaces and can be disposed of safely. Update the rules to classify syringes that are distributed are still legally considered biomedical waste once they are used. This is common sense. If litter is a biohazard, it should still be considered medical waste via statute and rulemaking.
Protecting communities from discarded syringes needs to be a core principle for the 133rd legislature. We must incentivize organizations to reduce drug abuse rather than distribute needles with no downstream accountability for collection of biomedical waste. This should be a priority for all candidates running for office in 2026.
