📍Un cheque de $400,000 que rebotó por falta de fondos forma parte de la transacción que ahora conecta a un hombre buscado por la Policía con la investigación del doble asesinato del empresario Félix Plaud y el abogado Luis Quiñones.
◾El hombre que las autoridades intentan localizar podría estar en Florida, y la Policía trabaja para encontrarlo y traerlo de vuelta a Puerto Rico mediante extradición. En su contra hay una orden de arresto con fianza de $100,000 por delitos de fraude y emisión de cheques sin fondos.
◾Esos cargos se presentaron en ausencia en agosto de 2025, después de que no se presentara a la investigación, según explicó un agente de la Policía.
◾El caso gira en torno a Well Greens, un dispensario de cannabis medicinal ubicado en Cupey. En enero de dos mil veintidós se pactó su compra por quinientos cincuenta mil dólares, con un primer pago de cien mil dólares y un pagaré por los cuatrocientos cincuenta mil dólares que faltaban. Más tarde, los dueños originales denunciaron que el cheque de cuatrocientos mil dólares que recibieron no tenía fondos.
◾En esa negociación participaron Quiñones y el ahora prófugo, mientras que Plaud habría estado presente en las conversaciones como administrador del negocio.
◾El dispensario también tendría relación con William Rivera Sánchez, el hombre que mató a Plaud y a Quiñones y que luego apareció muerto. En una demanda, Rivera aseguró que Plaud lo convenció de invertir en un negocio de cannabis medicinal en Cupey, en el que habría puesto cerca de $114,000, según los documentos.
