WHAT'S NEW IN COLORECTAL TUMORS (WHO 6TH EDITION 2026)
Traditional serrated adenomas (TSA)
An adenomatous polyp with any amount of TSA component should be classified as TSA. If it has high grade dysplasia, then call it TSA with high grade dysplasia
Pic 2: Polyp with TSA component on the left and tubular adenoma component on the right.
How to call it? = TSA

New study from our group: A distinct variant of aggressive lung carcinoma with peculiar pathologic features.
We called these tumors “SAGA” (solid and granular adenocarcinoma) .. sorting them out was in fact a long and winding saga that led to some unexpected insights. 👇

Stunning example of the cholangioblastic variant of intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma. At first glance these look like neuroendocrine tumors and there is chromogranin/synaptophysin expression (patchy) but not INSM1. The kicker is inhibin. PMID: 33999553; PMCID: PMC8516671.
