I’ve been saying since the #FireDan “movement” started that no manager who’s a clear upgrade from Dan would take this job because of the FO control over on field decisions and lineups.. It appears that I was right.

Dodgers Twitter is in shambles. #Ms Twitter take notes- Dodgers do free agency bigger than the Ms could ever and they just got swept by an org that largely stays out of FA and builds sustainably from within.

Mariners Twitter will just see the most idiotic idea and go all in on it, essentially creating a scenario where said hairbained idea is the only path to a successful offseason. (Trading Laz for a manager is the current topic of discussion) 🤦

You can’t spend the last 6 months crying about accountability and discipline and now be mad that Perry, Seitzer, Manny, and EY are out.

I’m not going to sit here and say Dan was good. I will say that when Dan replaced Servais in 24 he did all kinds of wacky shit that made the team really fun to watch and they won. By the start of 2025 all the Lou Piniella was beat out of him and he was just a Temu Servais.

If only we had two rookies to pencil into the lineup instead of Wilson and Ward. Fans would really enjoy that.

It turns out that Kade Anderson is in fact human, does throw low to mid 90s, and was not the answer to all the Ms problems.

7 days without watching an @Mariners game and barely checking the score. It’s peaceful. It’s sad to walk away from someone you care about, but when they create bad energy you gotta watch out for your own well being Hope they get the help they need. I’ll forgive them next year

Quick shoutout to @MLB for blacking me out in Austin Texas even though I pay for @MLBTV and Spectrum Cable and am 3+ hours from Astros or Rangers Stadiums. For the first time in my life I actually appreciate that watching the Ms is not an option for me today.

If I’m a left handed batting prospect in the Ms org I am BEGGING my agent to get me traded. The future ceiling here is making it to the show and getting platooned with (insert name of random veteran right handed batter).

Dan will probably come to an agreement to resign this offseason rather than getting sacked. It’s the right move, the well is poisoned whether he’s at fault or not. Problem is- who will do better unless the Ms fix their org-wide approach to hitting and lineup management?

Let’s be real, the Ms front office knew this season was sunk and they held off on calling up Kade and Laz until they could be confident their Rookie status wouldn’t be jeopardized. High probability one of them (or both) are ROY candidates which lands us another 1st round draft.

Taylor Ward is worth almost -1 WAR since joining. Now is not the time to try to recover your losses. Just take it on the chin and make him a full time pinch hitter that’s the winning way. But instead you’d rather die on L/R theories. Also not the time to sit Cal. Just awful.

When Cal finishes the worst szn of his career and still hits 30 bombs I’m coming for all your necks with receipts.
