Not only unhinged. Totally pissed.
An unhinged right-wing rant outside the RNLI in Poole. Imagine risking your life at sea to rescue ANYONE who needs help then having to listen to this maniac.

I join fellow UN experts in urging #Pakistan to halt the forced return of Afghans who may face persecution, torture or other serious human rights violations. Afghans at risk must have a safe and accessible way to come forward, be individually assessed, and receive protection from forced return while their cases are being assessed. 🔵I am particularly concerned about women and girls, unaccompanied children, human rights defenders, journalists, former judges, prosecutors and lawyers, former security personnel and others who may face serious risks upon return. ➡️We also raise concerns about actions toward forced return of Afghan students in medical and dental institutions in Pakistan, particularly women students whose access to higher education and medical training is already severely restricted in #Afghanistan. Respect for the principle of non-refoulement is essential: people must not be returned to situations where they face a real risk of serious human rights violations. ohchr.org/en/press-releases/…

The [SIR] reports keep getting published & the #FundamentalRights of #refugees & #asylumseekers continue to get violated in 🇬🇷 & elsewhere. Lets be real, the EU is not interested in enforcing fundamental rights in #migration context, FROfficers are bureaucratic window covers.
4 new Frontex Serious Incident Reports just dropped. Three are about SAR operations in which national authorites (Malta, Greece) and Frontex where involved & the people on boats were pulled back by Libyan coastguards. 1/ prd.frontex.europa.eu/docume…

Nice post!
🇬🇱 🇩🇰 🇺🇸 Was this the smartest con in Arctic history? The Danes and Greenlanders know perfectly well that the Trump regime is staffed by high school dropouts and people who move their lips when they read, and they know that nobody in this failed administration has the faintest idea that a 1951 agreement exists. So Copenhagen takes the old treaty out of the drawer, blows off the dust, changes the date to 2026 and adds a clause banning China and Russia, neither of whom was ever going to be invited anyway. Trump, who sincerely believes he is the sharpest mind in a movement where that is not a demanding title, promptly launches himself into orbit with a triumph he imagines will win him the midterms. He demanded an island, was sold his own lease back with a fresh cover page, and could not be more thrilled. Stay connected, follow Gandalv @Microinteracti1

There might be massive cuts in international aid, but there always seems to be money available for fancy and single-use humanitarian banners:

World Food Programme USA congratulations a US citizen and nominee of the US administration for getting this top UN job. We now have to see to what extent the US government (slogan: 'America First Always') will determine WFP's priorities.
Congratulations to Luke J. Lindberg on his appointment as Executive Director of @WFP. As global hunger grows, his leadership on food security matters more than ever. We look forward to partnering with him to advance our shared mission of ending hunger.

As for safe routes “being worked on” how many have you shut down while you work on that? Family reunification was the best safe route for women & children - you ended it. You’ve also scrapped scholarships for the brightest refugee students… your one in one out scheme is exactly as much of a mess as I told you it would be. Any “solution” that doesn’t START with safe ways for us to take our share of responsibility for people who come here is a continuation of longterm, deadly failure.
