This museum also owns a Lepanto flag of the Holy League from one of the original vessels of war, I reached out to them years ago and offered to pay for a picture of it. They did not answer me. I don't know why those artifacts are locked up and the public deprived of such treasures.
Museu Marítim de Barcelona has a full scale replica of John of Austria's flagship Real at the Battle of Lepanto in 1571. For the battle of Lepanto, this war galley would have been crowded with around 650-700 men (230-290 rowers and 400 soldiers).

This is it. Finally. No, for reals. I think. I thought I said goodbye filming my last day on-camera in the @thechosentv. Days later, I thought I said farewell again, as we wrapped the entire series itself on our sound stage, despite knowing that marketing days were still ahead. But this Sunday, it was evident in my bones that not only had I spoken my last speech… not only had we filmed our last shot… but this would be my final day on the hallowed ground that connected me to the television series that changed my life, for what may be the rest of my life (but only God really knows). This moment I share with you here is part of the culmination of not only the last eight years playing the Savior of the world, but the last twelve years playing Him as part of my creative collaboration with the show’s visionary creator, Dallas Jenkins. To have the divine blessing of working on a show for eight years, and then to be gifted this cherry on top — walking onto set as Christ, to be captured on film by one of the great masters of the photographic arts, Annie Leibovitz, while listening to John Debney’s haunting score fill the spaces of the set — was at once transcendent and otherworldly. I was, for a moment, completely speechless. Seems to be a theme for me this past month. I cannot stress to you the profound beauty and brilliance of the compositions that Annie, her team, and our cast and team have had the opportunity to create together. A divine collaboration, if ever there was one. And I cannot wait for you to see the fruit of our intense labor, beginning with Season 6 (on @primevideo Nov 15) and continuing through the release of the final images from these shoots. Our week creating these stills was a reality that my castmates and I could scarcely wrap our minds around. God, in His goodness, is profoundly mysterious and deliberately sweet. The thank-you’s He’s given us in these final moments of the most important series of our lives are beyond anything any of us could have even imagined. I do hope you’ll join us this season as we enter into the end of this story… which ultimately is the beginning of another. I will write more as I am able. I just need a moment in between the chaos to catch my breath. Love and Blessings, - JR 🙏🏽♥️✝️

"All I wanted was two things: to say only the Traditional Roman Rite Sacraments as a Roman Rite Priest, with no threat of it being taken from me, and to preach 100% of Catholicism without being cancelled for it." - Fr. Philip Conklin, SSPX-affiliated Priest. What an inverted world we live in - where a Priest of the Roman Catholic Church is unable to preach the doctrines of Eternal Rome, or offer the traditional Roman Sacraments, without fear of reprisal from... Rome. O Lord, Grant Us Priests. O Lord, Grant Us Holy Priests. O Lord, Grant Us Many Holy Priests. Please donate and pray for Fr. Conklin, our new Priest! Donation Link: givesendgo.com/father-philip…
Pray for Fr. Conklin as he navigates this canonical process. He’s a courageous man and very holy priest. Rome will strive to make an example out of him and his recent affiliation with SSPX, but we can do our best to help him fight this injustice. givesendgo.com/father-philip…

How can you NOT believe in God when octopuses dream and otters have a favorite rock they carry around in a little skin pocket and cows have best friends and bees are out there communicating the coordinates of flowers through dancing and they have regional dialects? Cats are purring at frequencies associated with bone healing? Forests get absolutely incinerated and respond by growing flowers? Dolphins literally invent names for themselves and yell them across the ocean? Penguins are waddling around Antarctica looking for the perfect rock to give their partner? CROWS REMEMBER YOUR FACE. THEY TELL OTHER CROWS ABOUT YOU. THEY TELL THEIR CHILDREN ABOUT YOU. YOU CAN HAVE GENERATIONAL BEEF WITH A BIRD. I NEED YOU TO UNDERSTAND THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS. Goats have accents. Rats laugh when you tickle them. Elephants mourn their dead. Whales make songs and then OTHER WHALES LEARN THE SONG and suddenly everybody across the ocean is singing the new song. Monarch butterflies are born knowing how to fly thousands of miles to a place they have never been. Sea turtles hatch out of an egg, immediately sprint toward an ocean that they have never seen, disappear into it for like 3 decades and then somehow come back to the same beach they hatched on. Birds can see colors that we humans can’t see. There are colors out there right now that we don’t even get to know about. There are sea slugs that eat algae and use the chloroplast/chlorophyll and then are just like…photosynthesizing. And they’re super adorable. There are mushrooms communicating underground. There are seeds sitting in the dirt for decades like “no actually I will wait. It’s fine.” Squirrels plant trees because they forget where they put their snacks. Relatable. A CATERPILLAR GOES INTO A LITTLE BAG THAT IT CREATES ITSELF AND DISSOLVES MOST OF ITS BODY INTO ORGANIC GOO AND REARRANGES ITSELF, GROWS WINGS AND THEN LEAVES. WHY IS THIS NOT MORE BEAUTIFULLY TERRIFYING TO PEOPLE?? And you’re telling me a tiny acorn knows how to become a huge tree? It just has a blueprint inside itself? Your body started as ONE CELL. ONE. And that cell divided itself into a brain that can think about its own existence and eyes that can look at stars and hands that can hold somebody else’s hands and a heart that runs on electricity without you even asking it to? The iron in our blood was made inside a star?? We are walking around on a wet rock covered in bioluminescent oceans and singing whales and laughing rats and birds holding lifelong grudges and flowers exploding out of fire and somehow we’re supposed to act like this is a normal place to live? We’re supposed to act like this is all just a random, accidental sequence of events?

Gradual Ps 102:20; 102:1 Bless the Lord, all you His Angels, you mighty in strength, who do His bidding. ℣. Bless the Lord, O my soul; and, all my being, bless His holy name. Alleluia, alleluia. ℣. St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, that we may not perish in the dreadful judgment. Alleluia. Image: Statue of the Archangel Michael, Koblenz Gate, Bonn, Germany. QUIS UT DEUS: "Who is like unto God?" is a Latin translation of the Hebrew name "Michael" mi-ka-el מי־כאל. In some depictions of St. Michael, he is shown bearing a shield with these words.

I wish I could get a list of the 10 most influential Catholic books (other then Bible and Catechism) to read and study. There are so many that I am overwhelmed. I am ready to really start digging deep but am clueless as to what to read.

Aaron Siri: "Babies have to remain alive for organs to be harvested in Vaccine development experiments." "You can't grow viruses using dead organ tissue, they have to be born alive." "Dr. Stanley Plotkin admits it under oath... unborn babies are alive at tissue extraction." Famous vaccinologist, coined 'the godfather of vaccines' during 9 hours of deposition under oath, reveals horrifying acts of violence & experimentation on babies aborted for the sole purpose of research experimentation studies. 1,000s of babies are used for experimentation... whose mothers sign up to 'donate' their unwanted unborn child to be used experimentally for vaccine development. Dr. Plotkin gladly admits, without remorse, to Lawyer Aaron Siri, that he accepts human sacrifice as a normal 'acceptable consequence' in order to 'further science' as he is 1st & foremost a scientist & practicing Atheist. Former Vaccine Researcher & Biologist Pamela Acker has stated, "The babies are alive when the researchers start extracting the tissue. Their hearts are still beating & they're not given any anesthetic because that would contaminate the organs being harvested that need to be alive, pure & free of toxins." According to expert Dr. Theresa Deisher, PhD, "Babies are born alive from five to six months old, with beating hearts cut out without anesthesia for research purposes. Researchers also cut through live babies' faces to collect brain tissue." The vaccine industry is built on the use of babies organs to produce many vaccines. They also have to replace these lines with current organs, the most recent being WALVAX-2, using the lung from 1 of 10 babies in 2015 for vaccine development. HEK-293: Human Kidney, female; used in development of Ebola & Covid. 293rd experiment. MRC-5: Human Lung, male; used in Polio, Rabies, Chickenpox, MMR, Hep A & Shingles. 5th cell line. WI-38: Human Lung, female; used in Polio, Rabies, Chickenpox, MMR, Hep A & Shingles. From fetus #38. RA 27-3: Human Kidney, used in the Rubella & MMR. 27th fetus & 3rd organ. PER-C6: Human Retina, used in the development of Ebola & Covid. Clone #6. IMR-90: Human Lung; to replace the WI-38 line. WALVAX-2: Human Lung; to replace the WI-38 and MRC-5 line. 2nd lung of 10 babies.

A grieving father was once given the chance to paint anything he wanted, and out of all the subjects in the world, he chose to depict the worst night of his life... It's called The Doctor and it was made by British artist Luke Fildes in 1891. At first it looks like a simple scene: a doctor sits at the bedside of a sick child in a poor cottage, watching over her through the night. The little girl lies on a makeshift bed, two mismatched chairs pushed together. In the shadows behind them, the parents wait, the mother collapsed with her face in her hands, the father standing with one hand on her shoulder, helpless, staring at the doctor for any sign of hope. Fildes did not invent this scene, he lived it: on Christmas morning in 1877, his own first child, a little boy named Philip, died at the age of one. And through those final terrible hours, a doctor named Gustavus Murray sat with them, watching over the dying boy with a care and devotion that Fildes never forgot. Years later, the philanthropist Henry Tate commissioned Fildes to paint whatever he wished, no subject, no restrictions, complete freedom. And Fildes chose to go back to this: the sick child, the anguished parents, the doctor keeping his silent vigil, and poured into it everything he had felt as a father watching his son slip away, and everything he had seen in the one man who refused to leave the bedside... It's a father's grief and a father's gratitude, made permanent. The artist's other son, also Luke Fildes, wrote in his biography of his father: "Dr Murray became a symbol of professional devotion which would one day inspire the painting. The idea for The Doctor had been on my father's mind ever since Dr Murray watched over Philip."
