A thread about "process over results":
A while back I had thought that this meant that results didn't matter or to never think of results. That, if results never come, it's okay cause the process is the only thing that matters.
At the end of the day, results do matter. (1/7)

Bryce Harper thought about his son Krew and "what [he] would say to him in that situation" as he turned the page on the misplay in right field. ❤️

After 29 years of marriage, I can sum up my best advice in three words:
Just. Hang. On.
Before your marriage can thrive, it has to survive.
I promise you this:
All the good stuff is on the other side of whatever problem you’re facing. When you feel like giving up, that’s the time to double down.
Let’s think logically:
Nobody gets divorced during the good times. That means THE WHOLE BALL GAME is weathering the storms. And trust me, the storms will come.
Years ago, when my marriage was struggling, an older mentor told me something that stuck:
A great marriage is built, not found.
If your partner…
> Isn’t crazy (increasingly rare these days)
> Shares your core values
> Wants a great relationship
…then you’ve got all the building blocks you need. But you still have to BUILD. And just as importantly, STOP tearing down.
Try this simple hack for 30 days:
Each morning, say, “I have the best spouse in the world.”
Even if you’re not sure you believe it, say it anyway. Make it your mantra. Say it to your partner.
YOU GO FIRST. I bet you’ll be shocked at how they respond in kind.
Words have power. What you say shapes your beliefs, which inform your actions. It becomes self-fulfilling.
Burn the boats and go all in. There’s a massive difference between being 99% committed and 100% committed.
These days my wife and I talk all the time about how great a life we’ve built together. I shudder to think where I’d be if we didn’t hang on through the tough times.
Nearly three decades in, we’re still building. I encourage you to do the same.

2006: One in the nest, building.
2026: Empty nest, still building.
P.S. It goes without saying that “just hang on” doesn’t apply to abusive relationships.

The city with the most compelling case for MLB expansion right now: Salt Lake City. It's got an owner. It's got a public-private partnership to fund a stadium. And it's got a site that's already being developed. Utah Gov. Spencer Cox talked with us about how far ahead SLC is.

An absurd decision to give Michigan one more play. We all saw the clock with our own eyes.
Honestly the Big Ten should be ashamed but they won’t be.
What a show Serena and Venus are putting on with Chan and Joint! This has been a joy to watch! #USOpen

Scalley said he's happy to have the first game out of the way so people will stop asking him about his first game. This has always been about the team and not him, he said.

The “play through injuries” article won’t be an easy read for Utah fans, but it’s an important one.
It should also be noted that Morgan Scalley appears to have taken steps to assure this isn’t part of his culture moving forward.
In his first Fall Camp at the Helm, Scalley made the decision to shorten practices. The idea is to preserve your health and make each rep more valuable and focused.
Scalley has also made the development of depth a priority, while the staff as a whole has emphasized the depth and desire to get several dudes involved. This will help preserve roster health, assuming more guys see the field and players aren’t running reps while fatigued—where most injuries happen.
It’s not a great look to have players come out and speak out on things that may have been handled incorrectly in the past, but it is in the past.
What matters is how things are handled from this point forward, under the new regime.
And it appears to be different.
Six former Utah football players told The Salt Lake Tribune they felt pressured to play through injuries. sltrib.com/sports/utah-utes/…

I’m also aware of a player who Scalley encouraged to get an MRI back in May after pain from a minor injury lingered for a couple weeks after spring ball. That MRI revealed something slightly more significant, which was appropriately addressed and the player is fully recovered.

Unreal time at the new Marcella Golf Course (Amazing)! Was paired with some dude named Tony. Not only is the guy an absolute stud and huge Ute fan, but he also happened to be an amazingly good golfer!! 😜
