Today, as we do every year, we voted against the annual resolution put forward by Cuba at the UN.
Cuba is a brutal military dictatorship that oppresses its citizens and denies them basic freedoms.
Israel is proud to stand alongside the United States on an issue of such great importance to the American people! 🇮🇱🇺🇸

TODAY: Venezuela’s opposition leader María Corina Machado gave her first press conference in Caracas after retuning to the country on Sunday.
She said that @SecRubio has outlined a sequence of events towards a democratic transition that establishes the holding of presidential elections in 2027.
Rubio told reporters this week following Machado’s homecoming that the country must have elections— adding that the administration would not allow the nation to stall while Trump is in office.
This was from her time in the states in May when she appeared on @NEWSMAX
He and his fellow so-called “UN experts” —unaccountable special rapporteurs — are using their UN positions to legitimize dictatorships, attack America, support terrorism, and spread antiwestern propaganda.
Amazing how this guy makes legitimate criticism of his work sound like he’s getting bullied during recess.
Of course he doesn’t allow replies. That’s exactly the problem. No accountability.

Thank you, Trinidad and Tobago, for standing with the Cuban people and their hope for freedom. 🇺🇸🇹🇹

Today, the Czech Republic joined the United States and others in voting against Cuba’s resolution at the United Nations. The facts are incontrovertible. The regime in Havana bears sole responsibility for the suffering of its people. @StateDept @SecRubio @CZinWashington @UN

The State Department provided this statement to the AP on the status of the Cuban diplomat Waltz accused of attacking US staff:
"We have made clear to the Cuba Mission that this individual is not welcome in the United States, and as a result this individual has left."
U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz says a Cuban official accused of attacking one of his staffers during a confrontation at the United Nations is being sent back to Cuba. Waltz says the incident began when Cuban diplomats tried to pressure a UN clerk to cut off his microphone as he spoke against the regime.
The confrontation escalated off-camera, Waltz says, when a staffer filming the exchange was pushed and slapped, and the official knocked the phone from his hand. Waltz says Secretary of State Marco Rubio has ordered the official sent home.

Especially proud to be a @USAmbUN @michaelgwaltz alum today.
Communists and socialists shut down opposition because they know their failed policy ideas can’t hold up to scrutiny.

Our @USUN Ambassador, @michaelgwaltz, is establishing himself as one of the most effective U.S. diplomats in recent memory. Great to see @WSJopinion cover his latest dust-up with dictatorial regimes. wsj.com/opinion/mike-waltz-u…
I’ve been around a lot of reporters and the @PassBlue reporter I run into most spends a lot more time expressing criticism than asking questions. And she’s wrong a lot too!
This was incredible. At the start of this process, we knew that @POTUS and @SecRubio’s leadership would get results. So @USambUN led the team to deny the Cuban regime their propaganda vote — and we did it.
The Donroe Doctrine in effect!

🚨 “THIS ISN’T HAVANA. YOU’RE NOT GOING TO INTIMIDATE ME.”
A fiery shouting match erupts at the U.N. as Cuba’s foreign minister confronts U.S. Ambassador Mike Waltz mid-speech. This comes as the two countries battle over the U.S. embargo on Cuba.
Oh he studied at the Lenin school, wonder if he majored in seizing private property.

🚨 AWESOME! UN Ambassador Mike Waltz is getting nationwide praise for RIPPING TO SHREDS a Cuban official at the United Nations to his face for acting like a tough guy
"BACK UP, Ambassador...THIS ISN'T HAVANA. You're NOT going to intimidate me. You understand who you're dealing with? This is America." 🇺🇸
Gone are the days of weak WEAK diplomats apologizing on the world stage.
UN officials panicked and cut the floor microphones — but Waltz still stood his ground and put the communist in his place! 👏🏻

I love this.
One of our staff members ordered lunch from DoorDash. The driver went to the wrong door and accidentally came into the cathedral when the office is next door. He had never been in a Catholic church. He was struck by the beauty.
He made the delivery, went home and started researching Catholicism. He just started OCIA.
Beauty attracts.
