As a result REPUBLICANS voted for Democrats in record numbers. As a Republican I can say Trump is a lying snake. He betrayed the American people. He said that Epstein files were a Hoax and it was over from there. The man also tried to gaslight Americans into believing that the reason gas is so high right now is because of Biden 😂

Hey, there's not one single source where anyone was directly invoking an angel on this realm to saints in heaven. MOST if not every source was communication with an angel on this realm or someone who has passed communicating with angels.

main argument was that these sources don't prove Intercession of the saints. You've moved the goal post to blessings and praise. And many of the "Blessings" are general addresses to creation in a general sense not literal invocations (which is why they now have to argue that the moon is a literal angel and so are other things 😂)

Well, there it is again. @Alex_Ortodoxie is vindicated, and once more, @gavinortlund has gotten a source wrong.
No offense to Gavin, but this has become a pattern. At this point, when he cites a source, we should all check the full context for ourselves. I had a similar back-and-forth with him a few years ago over Shoemaker. I personally had to reach out to Shoemaker himself to settle the dispute.
In his exchange with Alex, Gavin kept appealing to Hurtado while ignoring Alex’s corrections concerning the other scholars he had cited. He doubled down on defending the one scholar he thought still supported his position. Now it’s clear that appeal doesn’t hold up either.
Gavin is wrong about the invocation of the saints, and he’s wrong about the scholarship. He needs to kindly concede the point and move on. Doubling down just makes it look worse.
