Today’s Play Ball event at the Jackie Robinson Training Complex was a home run! Students from across our community came out to this free event to celebrate Jackie Robinson Day and learn the fundamentals of baseball in a fun, supportive environment. A big thank you to our Vero Beach High School baseball players and coaches who volunteered their time to mentor and guide the younger athletes — true role models on and off the field. We’re proud of our strong partnership with the Jackie Robinson Training Complex team, who help bring meaningful opportunities like this to life for our students. And a special shoutout to The Learning Alliance and the Moonshot Moment Bus for being there to gift free books to all the young athletes — hitting a home run for both literacy and leadership.
