I have a Golden Rule!
Never talk about family on this platform. Iโm breaking that rule today for the first and only time.
Let me introduce my wife, Diane! We have been married 35 yrs. It was a second marriage for both of us. We both brought daughters into our blended family. Her daughter has Down Syndrome.
Diane was smart, witty, funny, fashionable and fiercely loyal to me. She sang beautifully before hundreds of people, played the piano and owned her own business for ten yrs.
We had built a wonderful life togetherโฆuntil ten yrs ago when I noticed a slight memory problem with her. She was eventually diagnosed with Dementia!
I have been caregiver to both my wife and stepdaughter up until two weeks ago when I entrusted both of them into local care facilities.
I visited Diane for the first time in her new home recently. She no longer remembers my name or the nature of our relationship. But her heart still knows me! She smiles when she sees me and feels safe in my presence.
After years of acting as caregiver my role now is her care advocate. Iโm tired both physically and emotionally but she needs me in my new role.
I donโt disclose this for sympathy. I chose to do this because life is fleeting and fragile. Forgive those you love, hold them close, do not assume they will always be healthy and happy. Life changes and we must change with it.
Diane and I are still building a life together but itโs taking us down roads we had not expected. Iโll adjust as will she.
Hold your loved ones tight!

Officially the Republicans have a 53-47 majority in the Senate.
Why does it look like a Democrat is running the place?
The FBI just helped raid a scam compound in Ghana.
Rows of laptops preying on Americans. 130+ arrested or detained. 300+ devices seized.
Kash Patel says the global campaign has seized $17 BILLION.
Scammers who target our parents and grandparents, you're next.
I voted for this.

Thank you @laralogan for continuing to press the issue on the trafficking of these children. May all be brought to light.
If you care about the trafficking of children, you need to hear what this man has to say. I just watched it all over again. Absolutely mind-blowing. We have to have accountability. We cannot be a society that allows children to be raped & sold as a matter of govt policy, funded by American tax dollars. It is much bigger than partisan politics. At no point should we allow this again in our country. Do not be silent or passive.

This is not even realโฆ a man who worked inside the contractor pipeline under Biden sits down with Lara Logan and says the federal government was not rescuing these kids, it was moving them through a system that looked like trafficking with a badge and a purchase order.
Tarek "Joey" Kadourah was an MVM site supervisor. He says he was hired to help get trafficked children out of danger and instead he heard kids crying that the "sponsors" picking them up were not familyโฆ fake paperwork, forged identities, the same Houston address showing up again and again while cartel coyotes worked the edges of a taxpayer funded machine. He talks about a San Diego stadium with kids held indoors for months, midnight flights on your dime, NDAs and gag orders, and being told to keep quiet when he raised the alarm. Think about that. You pay for the stadium, you pay for the jets, you pay for the contractors, and the whistleblower says when children tried to flee the transfers the adults in the room treated it like a logistics problem instead of a crime scene.
Here is the reality. Half a million missing migrant kids was never a typo and it was never "just a backlog." Lara is right that this is bigger than partisan politics. If a private citizen ran a warehouse where kids cried that their pickups were strangers, you would call it what it is and demand handcuffs. When it runs through federal contractors and "sponsors" and stadium holding sites, half the country wants to call it compassion and the other half wants to call you crazy for noticing.
I am angry, and most of you are still not angry enough. How is this even a thing in the United States of Americaโฆ that a man can sit on camera and say he watched a government process hand children into situations that screamed exploitation, get told to shut up, then get stalked after he talked? Make no mistake, team evil does not care about those kids. They care about throughput, headcount, contracts, and keeping you asleep while the cartel price menu and the forged paperwork become somebody else's problem downstream.
And yet the same media apparatus that will lecture you for a week about pronouns will bury a whistleblower who says American tax dollars funded the conveyor belt. Walk past the evidence and stay quiet. That works really well.
@realDonaldTrump this is the lane. Tear open the contractor records, the sponsor lists, the stadium sites, the flights, and the NDAs. Name who greenlit it, who gagged the workers, and who still has not been held accountable. Free the truth and protect the next kid in that warehouse.
Pray, Stand, Speak, ACT.
Love,
What all of you good people are thinking

Google will call this the future. I call it your dystopic nightmare.
Remember quantum-dot tattoos? Well, we're close. VERY close to this becoming a reality.
A vaccine the size of a postage stamp. Room-temp mRNA. No doctor. No clinic. Just slap it on at your kitchen table.
Sounds convenient, right?
Now keep reading.
MIT has already worked on heat-stable mRNA delivered through dissolvable microneedle patches.
And remember those quantum dots I mentioned? MIT and Rice researchers also developed a way to leave an invisible pattern under the skin that could store information about which vaccine you received. You can't see it with your eyes, but it can be read using near-infrared light.
The reason given? So people in places without reliable medical records wouldn't have to worry about losing a paper vaccine card.
And maybe that sounds harmless to you.
It doesn't to me.
Because we've watched this movie enough times to know how it goes. Start with the most sympathetic reason possible. Make everyone comfortable with the technology. Normalize it. Expand it.
Quantum dots are already being explored for other uses, including cosmetics.
So now imagine the pieces coming together: a vaccine patch mailed directly to your house, dissolvable needles delivering what's inside, and an invisible mark under your skin that can be scanned later.
No, that's not some sci-fi movie plot. These technologies are actually being developed.
And that's the part I think people should be paying attention to.
Because if the big selling point is simply a painless, convenient vaccine patch...
why the hell do we need an invisible code under the skin?
I don't want my medical history tattooed on my body.
Invisible or otherwise.
Hard pass.

After watching people spend the last few days talking about Pike - her childhood, her age, her trauma, her execution, her suffering - I want to talk about Colleen Slemmer.
Because somehow the person who was murdered keeps becoming a footnote in the story of the person who murdered her.
Colleen was 19 years old.
She wasn't a case number. She wasn't simply "Christa Pike's victim."
She was a daughter. A granddaughter. A young woman who loved roller-skating, miniature golf and computers. She could take a computer apart and put it back together again. She even had a shirt that said "Computer Geek."
Her family later had that shirt made into a teddy bear so they could keep a piece of her close. โค๏ธ
Colleen was also the kind of kid who gave up part of her own lunchtime to help children with disabilities - feeding students who needed assistance and helping kids in wheelchairs. She volunteered at Special Olympics events. One summer, she helped paint her school.
She struggled with reading, but she was smart and fascinated by computers. She wanted training that wasn't available at the Job Corps program near her home in Florida, so at 19 years old she left her family and went to Knoxville to learn computers and build a future for herself.
She never got that future.
On January 12, 1995, Colleen was lured to an isolated area near the University of Tennessee agricultural campus.
What happened next wasn't a momentary loss of control.
Colleen was beaten and tortured during a prolonged attack. She was cut repeatedly. Her throat was slashed. A pentagram was carved into her chest. She was struck with a meat cleaver and ultimately suffered devastating blows to her head with a large piece of asphalt. Afterward, Pike took a piece of Colleen's skull from the scene. These details come from the court record - not internet rumor.
Colleen was 19.
Nineteen.
And while the country is now being asked to think about what Christa Pike experienced during a failed execution, I think there's room to remember what Colleen experienced when nobody came to stop it.
There's also room to remember everything that existed before those final horrifying moments.
The girl who loved computers.
The girl who roller-skated.
The girl who helped children with disabilities eat their lunch.
The girl who volunteered at the Special Olympics.
The daughter whose mother has now spent more than three decades trying to make sure the world remembers her name.
Her mother, May Martinez, said something this week that absolutely broke my heart:
"The criminals get so much attention. Why? She has been lost in this."
She's right.
So today, I'm not posting Christa Pike's face.
I'm posting Colleen's name.
COLLEEN ANNE SLEMMER
September 20, 1975 โ January 12, 1995
She was here.
She was loved.
She mattered.
And she deserves to be remembered for the life she lived - not only for the horrific way someone chose to end it.
Remember Colleen. ๐ค
