Senior managers in Leeds are refusing to resolve the dispute with theatre assistants, who are currently on strike.
They perform clinical tasks, but their pay doesn't reflect it - and at a meeting last week, management offered no suggestions on how to find a solution.

Great news that the Planning Inspectorate has refused the operator’s application to remain open for the next ten years at the Ash Pits.
Everyone in the community who stood together to make their voices heard should be proud of this outcome.

Another warm spirited (if cold weathered) picket line this morning. The striking workers are spooking the Trust this Halloween, the Trust know they must implement fair pay 4 patient care. Terrific support by Sheffield @unisonSTH with a large cheque to our strike fund - thankyou

Theatre assistants in Leeds are still on strike. They're paid at a band 2 rate, but perform band 3 duties.
It's been resolved elsewhere - including at Calderdale and Huddersfield, by the new chief executive of Leeds.

Solidarity with these striking workers in Leeds.
This needs sorting.
They should be paid for the work they do and the duties they undertake in our hospitals here in Leeds.

Tomorrow, theatre assistants in Leeds return to the picket line as they begin an indefinite strike in their campaign to be paid properly for clinical tasks they perform.
Please show support if you can! 🙌

When Wakefield Trinity were relegated three years ago, the club didn't stop its vital community work. It continued giving opportunities and life chances to children, filling the gap left by local services destroyed by austerity
Its remarkable current success isn't just on the rugby pitch — it's in the community, writes @JadeBotterill politicshome.com/opinion/art…

Theatre assistants in Leeds are returning to the picket line next week.
They perform clinical tasks and should be paid for them.
It'll be a continuous, indefinite strike unless trust bosses get back round the table.

A new National Care Service. Greater public control of water, energy, and housing. A National Commission on Electoral Reform. Strengthening our relationship with Europe. Reforming the education and welfare system.
Today I set out a different path for Britain.
You may disagree with some or all of what I have said today. But I have given you what you often say is missing from politics.
Honesty, ideas and a clear direction for the country we all love.
If you agree with enough of what I have said, get behind this plan. And get behind each other.
It's time to draw a line.
To move beyond a decade of drift and division.
To bring a spirit of unity and positivity back to our country.
To unlock the working-class aspiration that is still there in every postcode.
To hope again.
