Very interesting talk in the overflowing AI session this afternoon about (in part) how forecasters don’t trust AI models for a few reasons including how AI is a new/unfamiliar language for most Mets.

My flaming hot #wxtwitter take is that it’s really hard to teach someone to be a good forecaster in the classroom because you need to do it a ton and assigning that much homework would be met with a total revolt
