Billions of us (mainly young people) have been denied a future after decades of inaction. Fossil fuel giants, lobbyists, aligned vested interests & the right have enriched the wealthy whilst killing any meaningful climate action.
Ahead of us: higher prices, conflict, famine. Or…

This is why the billionaire class is freaking out.
Google co-founder Sergey Brin in particular has completely lost it - he has spent 102 MILLION, all to defeat a tiny tax on his ginormous fortune.
It's honestly sad to see: so rich, and they still don't understand what's really scarce in life: your fucking time on this planet!
Instead, this guy spends hours, days and weeks obsessing over this little tax that he'll barely notice. Pathetic.
If California’s “billionaire tax” passes, it will amount to the first time that a government in the U.S. has successfully taxed the assets, rather than the income, of extremely rich people as a class. newyorker.com/magazine/2026/…

Senior Labour figures are privately voicing unease about John Healey’s approach to his crucial first budget this month, against the backdrop of volatile global markets and soaring energy costs.
The chancellor’s conference speech was warmly received by Labour members - but government insiders cast doubt over lack of investment and growth policy or any pitch-rolling for possible tax rises.
Narrow focus of budget expected to rule out radical changes to property and capital gains taxes - though Healey calling in bank bosses next week has reignited speculation of windfall tax.
Labour MPs fear that failing to take more drastic action, particularly on surging energy prices, could leave voters nonplussed. One said: “John may want the budget to be low key but it will send a massive signal of our intent.”

Hi Tom,
NHS consultant here.
The NHS is supported by impressive, innovative and ground breaking technologies provided by a wide range of outstanding multinational corporations.
It is a false dichotomy to suggest to people that if we want good health care, we must align with genocide supporting organisations like Palantir.
Hope that helps.
Niz
Later today protesters will demand ‘No Palantir in our NHS’
While they protest, someone, somewhere will get an operation scheduled earlier, a cancer diagnosis quicker, a loved one home from hospital sooner - thanks to the software that those protesters would switch off.
Here is what you won’t hear. Trusts using the software have recorded:
• 117,000 additional operations
• 14.3 per cent reduction in discharge delays for long stay patients
• 5.6 per cent improvement in the number of people receiving a cancer diagnosis within 28 days
As a more articulate person once said: ‘certain facts, although in a sense known to be true, are inadmissible.’

Our country has become so desensitised to this image that we have children chanting “let them drown”.
This man matters exactly as much as you matter. He mattered to loved ones just as much as your family matter to you.
Safe routes or barbarism. Always has been that simple.

If a wanted war criminal (whose forces have killed Americans) comes to US soil, attacks Americans (including the mayor of the largest city), and then says "Remember the beepers" referring to a terrorist attack he committed — how can that be taken as anything other than a threat?

It's great to hear the govt is considering equalising Capital Gains Tax (the tax paid on income from wealth) with Income Tax (the tax paid on wages).
If done right it could raise £11 billion+/year for our public services, whilst making the country fairer & boosting growth.

Tom Watson is a LIFE PEER in the House of Lords. Why is he allowed to be a glorified PR man for a highly controversial US tech company that is neck deep in tax-payer funded U.K. State contracts?
