My latest report on the state of social housing in Edinburgh and the Lothians. The pictures of the flat in the article are truly some of the most shocking I have ever seen. A vulnerable man has been expected to live in this for the past five years. shorturl.at/IT7Cp

I've been covering criminal bike gangs throughout my seven years in journalism and each year the problem becomes more severe. It is not a question of if, but of when, these criminal gangs will take the life of an Edinburgh resident. tinyurl.com/2ebk6mm6

It's shameful that Scotland's biggest news titles run Sunday stories which demean and stigmatise trans people - an extremely marginalised and vulnerable group which deserves respect and dignity.

A great lesson today in just knocking on a door if you’re curious when out gathering stories in a community. Met the most fascinating woman who left South Africa after their home was targeted in an armed robbery. She quit her job in marketing and now creates antique furniture.

They came to the UK on holiday and fell in love with Edinburgh. Within two years they’d bought an old council house in Winchburgh. Her little remakery stood out like a sore thumb. Completely remade their life after a chance visit. Going to make such a great feature.

Yet another family let down by NHS Lothian. They are demanding answers to ensure no other family has to experience seeing their loved one waste away due to inadequate care at Edinburgh’s Royal Infirmary.
