UPDATE: Unfortunately there was not enough time to book alternative space for this weekend and we are truly appreciative to those who are arranging meet ups with the cast that are in NY. We have posted a more detailed updated statement on our website. jalmics.com/heroes-of-the-sh…
UPDATE: We have not been able to reach a resolution with the Marriott and unfortunately Heroes of the Shadow World is cancelled. We would like to apologise to all attendees and our guests for the inconvenience this has caused.
We will be in touch regarding our cancellation policy and refunds in the coming days but right now our priority is our attendees who are already in New York so please bear with us.
UPDATE: We are still working on a solution for the weekend but registration today is cancelled. We will post an update in 2 hours confirming the situation for the event.
UPDATE: At present we have been unable to reach a resolution with the Marriott. If you are checked in we will be in touch with you in regards to payment for your bill as our funds are on a master account and we don't know if they are going to be released against the rooms.
We are working to prevent this eventuality but this is why we have made the recommendation not to check in if you have not already and you will be eligible for a full refund. Please do not listen to what anyone else is trying to tell you on twitter. This is a terrible situation
To the attendees of Heroes of the Shadow World.
We have made this announcement in the best interest of the fans and the event in advance of the conclusion of our discussion with the Marriott as there is a serious doubt that a solution could be reached.
We have a further announcement to make in regards to Heroes of the Shadow World New York. We are experiencing a fundamental breakdown of agreement with the Marriott Marquis Times Square New York. We are currently trying to resolve this issue
If the event is cancelled then cancellation terms will apply and if you do not travel due to this notice then they will also apply. This will also apply to your hotel booking if you do not check in.
We are looking forward to welcoming Katherine McNamara to New York next weekend #nyshadowcon jalmics.com @Kat_McNamara
