Two major investments lost in one week under Lewisham’s Green Mayor.
Goldsmiths has quit its Catford campus, days after Landsec dropped its £1.5bn Lewisham Shopping Centre plan.
The Mayor must explain what he did to stop it, and his plan for Catford and central Lewisham.

On Tuesday, Landsec shelved its £1.5bn plan for Lewisham Shopping Centre.
Today, Goldsmiths has walked away from its planned Catford campus: 600+ students, a 10-year lease, millions of council investment.
The Green Mayor @LiamShrivastava promised hope. Where is it for Catford?

Under the Green Mayor Lewisham has lost a £1.5bn town centre plan.
1,700 homes. A park the size of a Premiership pitch. A music venue. 300+ trees.
Approved under Labour. Shaped by 2,500+ residents.
Landsec says the Greens’ refusal to back the next phase is part of why.

Under the Greens, Lewisham has lost a £1.5bn town centre plan.
1,700 homes, a new park, a music venue and so much more. On a site where nobody lives.
Our group leader, @Ese_Journo, warned the Mayor this would happen. He called her embarrassing.
Lewisham deserves better.

Landsec has pulled out of its £1.5bn investment in Lewisham shopping centre, citing Mayor @LiamShrivastava's Green administration's lack of support.
300+ affordable homes, jobs, a park and a music venue: gone.

9 days since the Green Party passed its ‘Zionism is Racism’ motion.
Lewisham’s Mayor @LiamShrivastava won’t say if he supports it.
5 days since Labour MPs first wrote to him. No reply.
His cabinet lead for communities backed it. Residents deserve to know where you stand, Liam.
A busy day campaigning for @Sagal_AW in the Holborn & St Pancras by-election - 30,000 steps & 12 hours in total, with the seven and a half hour "morning walk" that ended at 5.30pm being the bulk of it.

The Green Party's divisive "Zionism is Racism" motion has caused great concern amongst the Jewish community here in Lewisham.
I've written to @LiamShrivastava calling on him to condemn it and reaffirm Lewisham’s commitment to tackling antisemitism.

The Green Party's 'Zionism is Racism' motion crosses a line that’s deeply divisive.
We're calling on Lewisham Green Party to condemn it, and to say whether the Mayor or any of its councillors voted for it.

Those of us who chaired pension committees worked incredibly hard on divestment. It's not easy. The wheels grind slowly. But we persisted. We were honest. We were slated, told we weren't taking it seriously. We were taking it seriously. Seems like the Greens have given up.
.@Zoegarbett and @Hackneygreens demanded Labour councillors divest £30m from companies ‘involved in Israel’s genocide’ and said they supported genocide. As of today they themselves have divested £zero. Shockingly only 3 of 7 @hackneygreens councillors turned up to committee. Both Labour members turned up.
Congratulations to Wandsworth’s newest councillor, Shirin Georgiani!
Today voters sent a stark message - they have utterly rejected Wandsworth Tories Council Tax hike.
Shirin will be a dedicated local Councillor who will stand up for the residents of Tooting Bec and Balham.
