Unfortunately I completely believe there has been annoyance at this in refereeing circles.
They really are too thick to understand the difference between something that's made to look worse in slow motion (e.g. a forceful tackle) and something totally missed in full speed.
With all the talk of if we'll ever see Joe Gomez score, what I'd love to know is if we'll ever get one from one of his long throws.
Apologies if I'm forgetting any, but we've now used them under multiple managers, and they never seem to work. He must throw it miles in training!

Weird and poor that the BBC commentators are skirting around why Partey wasn't playing in Ghana's first game.
It's a matter of public record that criminal proceedings in the UK meant he was denied a visa to enter Canada, why not tell viewers directly?
Nice and all, but CAF will overturn the result in a couple of months
❤️ This ref is called Harry. He was reffing this game when the U7 keeper lost a bit of confidence after conceding and didn't want to carry on playing. Harry went and spoke to the keeper not once, but twice, sat down talked with him and gave him the encouragement needed to get back up and enjoy his football again.
Moments like this, whenever they happen, just remind you you’re doing something right as a parent.
That’s what grassroots is all about. Proper class, son

Farcical to be so long after, but I don't have an issue with the actual AFCON decision.
Leaving the pitch for a quarter of an hour wasn't a footballing action, but very likely altered the final result. That's not something that should be allowed to pass with no consequences.
On ChatGPT ads, one thing I've noticed:
If I were making a mock-up designed to reassure people about privacy and clear separation from AI answers, it would be more clear-cut than this.
Ad prose picks up straight from AI response. And it's disconcertingly query-relevant.
Didn't realise this was the rule.
In that case, it's a real howler - referees are often wrong in fact, but they really shouldn't be wrong in law. He literally announced the decision as an accidental handball.
Robertson has been great.
I get that we've invested in Kerkez being the future, but really hard to see why they've not shared minutes a bit more evenly this season. And letting him go now would just seem like self-sabotage
