Donald Trump, whose war on Iran is the greatest strategic blunder in United States history, is not responsible for triggering the decline of the American empire, but he is responsible for its fatal denouement. This is the end. U.S. bases in the oil-rich Persian Gulf have been damaged or destroyed and I expect will not be rebuilt. Our allies, even those in Europe, are abandoning us. The decadence and immorality of American society, embodied in the vulgarity, stupefying ignorance and cruelty of Trump, are the defining characteristics of the Empire. The Global South, horrified at the Empire’s flagrant disregard for international humanitarian law, including the enabling of genocide in Gaza, sees us as the enemy. Abu Ghraib Prison may have receded from our consciousness, but for the rest of the world, its images of U.S. soldiers and contractors sadistically humiliating and torturing imprisoned Iraqis has replaced the Disneyfied version of America we once exported. The war on Iran, which has disrupted the world’s oil supply, is rapidly pushing the global economy over the cliff. We are going down. And we will bring many with us. Osama Bin Laden may be in a watery grave in the North Arabian Sea. Al-Qaeda may be a shadow of itself. But Bin Laden’s most fervent dreams have been realized in the last twenty-five years of gross miscalculations of the Empire — its squandering of trillions of dollars on military debacles and the ascendancy of our version of Ubu Roi, Donald J. Trump. Read my full column, 'Osama Bin Trump' on Substack at the link below.

The U.S. federal budget deficit reached $2.0 trillion for the first 11 months of fiscal year 2026
He is completely bonkers. WHERE exactly is that money? Literally where is it?

BREAKING: House Republicans are canceling the final two weeks of September and plan to stop voting after September 14, leaving Washington until after the midterms. The timing? Thomas Massie’s bipartisan push to force action on millions of unreleased Epstein files is gaining signatures. They were elected to govern, not run from accountability. Stay in Washington. Release the files.

The Reality
Nobody wants U.S. Treasuries anymore. So the Treasury is buying back its own debt. When the world stops funding your deficit, you become your own buyer. That's not strength - that's a red flag.

Can’t run from it 👇
Interest on the national debt will surpass $1.3 trillion this fiscal year; if Congress doesn't get its act together and cut spending, the bond vigilantes will eventually force that change; w/ $40 trillion in debt, it may come sooner than you think...

A Disaster in so many ways 👇
The U.S. National Debt is $40T Donald Trump accumulated $16T of that $40T In just 6 years, Donald Trump has been responsible for 40% of the debt our country has ever accumulated in 250 years.

Colonel Lawrence Wilkerson: We have a disaster. We have an insane conflict that there’s no way the United States is going to extricate itself from without great losses. It’s already taking great losses. There’s no way Iran is going to lose. All it’s got to do is remain 93 million people in a country the size of Western Europe with variegated terrain you wouldn’t believe if you were there and seeing it, and temperatures to go along with it, and mountains and deserts to go along with it. It isn’t going away anytime soon. And oh, by the way, did I mention that it has an ally named China, the number one economy in the world, and another ally named Russia, probably the most battle-hardened military and defense industrial base in the world? Did I mention that? That’s where we are with this insane president who started out wanting a better deal than the black man in the White House.

Think About It. 👇
America did not have to be conquered with troops and tanks. That was never the fear. We are blessed by geography. Be we are not protected from being conquered from within. And that's exactly what happened. America was conquered with money, blackmail, propaganda and a seemingly endless supply of treasonous politicians. The irony of it all? The whole way through, the American people were relentlessly propagandized to fear every conceivable bogeyman (except the one that would end up conquering it).

Unprovoked War of Choice Bad Choices = Bad Results 👇
Frank Giustra says Trump has trapped America in an unwinnable choice: bankrupt itself defending its empire, or walk away from Hormuz and admit the empire is already falling. Trump entered the war believing military pressure would force Iran to back down, but instead, Frank argues he's created a trap where every option now carries an enormous strategic cost. America can keep bombing Iran, but every extra week means more munitions burned, more pressure on energy markets, higher oil prices, higher inflation, and rising interest rates. That's not just bad for consumers, it's dangerous for a country carrying almost $40 trillion in debt. Frank points out that America is already spending around $1 trillion a year just servicing that debt. If oil stays elevated and bond yields keep climbing, refinancing that debt becomes dramatically more expensive. In other words, America may have the military capability to continue this war, but does it have the money to? Walking away carries its own consequences. Since the end of World War II, America's global role has rested on a simple bargain. The world traded through the U.S. dollar, and America kept the sea lanes open: that's the foundation of American financial power. If Washington now accepts a regional arrangement where Iran plays a decisive role in controlling access to Hormuz, Frank believes every country watching draws the same conclusion: The rules have changed; America no longer guarantees the system it built. And if confidence in that system weakens, so does the dollar. That's not just a currency story; it's about America's ability to finance enormous deficits, borrow cheaply, impose sanctions, and maintain its standard of living. Lose reserve currency dominance and, in Frank's view, inflation rises, borrowing becomes more expensive, and one of Washington's most powerful geopolitical weapons begins to disappear. @Frank_Giustra

Rick Rule: Politically, the Fed will ultimately have to lower interest rates. We have entered an inflationary era similar to the 70s, but the fiscal situation is vastly different. - Debt/GDP: ~30% then vs ~123% now - Interest expense: ~$50B then vs ~$1.2T now - Deficits: ~1–4% then vs ~6% now In fact, the government now pays more in annual interest expenses than the entire US debt was in the late 70s. But it’s not just the government that can’t afford higher rates. Markets will feel it too: - Private credit - Consumer durables - Real estate All are heavily impacted by higher interest rates. Sooner rather than later, political pressure will force the Fed to lower rates. Volcker was able to hike aggressively because debt/GDP had been inflated away after WW2. Today, debt/GDP is above WW2-era levels, which is why the US can’t fight inflation the same way it did in the early 80s. First you inflate the debt away to a more manageable level... Then you raise rates to kill inflation. Not the other way around.

When the illusion breaks, what’s left isn’t just disappointment,it’s embarrassment. The man you believed in wasn’t a savior. He was all talk, built on ego, noise, and self-promotion. His confidence and big promises fall apart the moment reality tests them. There’s no hidden brilliance underneath. Just someone out of his depth, trying to cover incompetence with bluster. What looked like strength was just performance. Not leadership, just hollow showmanship. And the hardest part isn’t how bad it is. It’s realizing how long you believed his shit.....

US was never serious about negotiating 👇
🚨 BREAKING CEASEFIRE UPDATES 🚨 "We are disappointed with how US behaved. Netanyahu's call to Vance during the meeting shifted the focus from US-Iran negotiations to Israel's interests. The U.S. tried to achieve at the negotiating table what it could not achieve through war. We came here with good faith, the press conference by Vance before he left Pakistan was unnecessary, we are committed & prepared to safeguard our nation's interest and sovereignty"- Iran FM Seyed Abbas Araghchi
