Strong statement from Murphy. I had the chance to work a lot with his staff in War Powers, and when he says something like this, it is worth listening.
BREAKING: Sen. Chris Murphy was briefed on highly classified military planning on Iran to restart the war after the midterms, calling the plans "insane." "I will just say this: their plan is insane. It will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law," he said at the Middle East Institute event. The plan "will be devastating for our security interests," he adds.

What was once old is new again... or here's hoping, anyway.
World Series has been dominated by undersized hitters. 5’10” and under. The smart metric guys have figured this out. The future of ABS hitting is undersized multi tool guys. The launch angle era is officially over.

Well then..
Sen. @tedcruz in March: "I don't believe that what is happening in Iran will be front and center in November. If it extends that long, we've done something wildly wrong... The president said at the beginning this is going to be a matter of several weeks."

A better plan would be to look in the mirror.
Baris: the WH is planning to blame its conservative critics such as Tucker, Baris, Owen Shoyer, Mark Mitchell, etc., for the imminent midterm defeat.

I see a lot of complaints about Trump's handling of Iran but never any workable solutions that haven't already been tried.

This attempt to create astro-turf Toby Keith and channel their inner peak GWOT is truly inspiring.
Pete Hegseth's so-called Department of War brought country singer Drew Baldridge to the Pentagon on October 21 to perform his moving anthem, "Why the goyim must fight for Israel"

Just for the record, that drips with both sarcasm and cynicism.

Zero lies detected.
If Trump had kept his campaign promises, the Epstein class would be getting prosecuted, there'd be no war in Iran or Ukraine, gas prices would be hitting new lows, real wages would be rising for the first time in nearly a decade, and the GOP would be adding seats in the midterms.

Iran obtaining a nuclear weapon was nothing more than Bibi’s sales pitch to get us into the war. This obvious reality is a punchline in Israel. Time to end our public humiliation. End the war. End our lopsided relationship with Israel.
Israel's Gadi Eisenkot: Netanyahu is a delusional person. He knows that Iran didn't have nuclear weapons.

Very important meeting today between representatives of the Mecca Pact (KSA, Pakistan, and Turkey) and Iran in Tehran. But an invitation for Tehran to join the pact was not on the agenda. Rather, an emergency session in which the three are requesting Iran's help to end the conflict with Ansarollah, which is threatening to destabilize Saudi Arabia. From the Iranian perspective, KSA has committed the same mistake as Trump: Starting a war that it cannot control or end. Tehran is willing to help, a source in Iran tells me, but Ansarullah's condition for KSA to lift the air blockade on Yemen before any fighting ends is unchanging. (Ansarullah is focused on the air blockade, not the sea blockade) Still, this meeting reflects something even more important, and something we and other restrainers have pointed out for years: As the US pulls back militarily, contrary to Washington's conventional wisdom, regional states are showing greater agency and taking responsibility for the region's security themselves. This does not mean all problems will be resolved or that conflict and chaos will be avoided, but it will be their conflicts, their chaos, and their responsibility, not the US's.

I miss when "hitting" actually meant "getting a hit" in a game, rather than some MS in Data Science saying you had "superb exit velocity" in BP.
I miss when All-Star Game stats looked like this 💯
