The Dowman red debate is why I keep saying 16yo shouldn’t play professional men’s football. They’re children.
A lot of ‘he’s only 16’ ‘imagine a grown man doing that to a 16yo’ ‘so called hard man tackling 16yo’ ‘he’s 16 he needs support’.
This is a serious cup game. It’s a huge scalp for Fleetwood. The players cannot go into that game thinking ‘better goes easy on that lad he’s only 16’. It’s professional sport.
If his age is a consideration on how the game should be played around him he’s too young to play. You can’t have it both ways.
It was a premier league referee in charge.
