I really find it interesting that this game mode is testing hybrid combat with active dodging and blocking and really makes me wonder if this is a test bed to bring those kinds of changes to retail.
Ashes of Creation was going for this kind of combat so I am pretty interested in the reason behind the experiment.
[#Midnight] Take the Talebound demo on the PTR for a spooky spin and experience the Red Hollow introduction, three eerie tales across Normal, Veteran, and Heroic difficulties, and all three classes: Slayer, Inquisitor, and Witch. Details here: blizz.ly/3WCk5Cq
Holy shit, they cooked with this one.

Kinda seems like maybe it wasn't that fucking bugged to where it needed to stay open for two weeks lol
The Delve Hall of Fame is now closed, and over 200k players have defeated Tier 11 Kindo'jan solo and earned the achievement Let Me Solo Him!

It kind of amazes me after MMOs being a thing for 30+ years that people still think that they will ever run smoothly on a launch.
No MMO in the history of MMOs has ever had a smooth day one launch or day one patch.
It's never going to happen.
You are basically DDoS-ing the servers with everyone trying to log in at the exact same time.
How after this many years do people not get you don't play on launch day?
When the lighting and effects hit Retail
Blizzard calls WoW’s “spaghetti code” reputation an unfair characterization and says the engine is one of the best out there. Plus, Forever’s visual upgrades are headed to Retail. 👉 icy-veins.com/wow-forever/ne… #warcraft #midnight
Retail WoW has become so obsessed with respecting your time that it forgot to give you reasons to waste it.
Give me artifact power, Molten Front dailies, Netherwing rep grinds, Suramar progression, and Isle of Thunder.
I miss logging in and having a bunch of shit to work toward that wasn't just raiding, M+, or PvP.
Give me evolving zones, meaningful reputations, hidden secrets, long-term character progression, and rewards actually worth grinding for.
I'm not asking for mandatory chores or endless grinds to stay competitive. I just want to log in, find something I want to work toward, and lose six hours because I'm having fun.
And "go play Forever" isn't an answer. I don't want a different version of WoW. I love Retail's combat, class design, and challenging endgame. I just want that same game to have a world worth spending time in outside of raids and M+.
Give me shit to do that can't be completed an hour after the patch drops.
This is fucking cool as fuck!
Horde. Alliance. War. Nov 4.
Pick your side of the story and fight for your faction when WoW: Forever launches!
WARPATH | World of Warcraft: Forever AMV Launch Trailer
Alliance. Horde. War. Rally your party and brave the wilds of World of Warcraft: Forever on Nov 4 with a WoW Subscription or game time.
Hot take, but most people are so dogshit at this game that having an increase to their abilities is a net zero and doesn't matter.
This literally only matters to the top 10% of players.
Just get rid of combat racials in WoW Forever. keep the racial abilities to the identity of the race. Stuff like Treasure finding, picking herbs, cannibalism, underwater breathing, etc.
Take the dmg out of the racials, make people choose a race they love for its race not for it's dmg output. Keep the WCL aspects of racials out. All this does is create a Meta and a back and forth decision of whether to go Alliance or Horde.
This tuning shit is already falling into What Retail became on a constant week.
The Race of World First is extremely popular and has a ton of eyes on it, and we're going to complain? Bro, what the fuck is wrong with people?
"The participants are getting paid". Cool, a bunch of money is going to charity.
Like, what the actual fuck...

You do realise the players aren't doing it for charity? They get paid. It's their job. Yes, supporting charity is great and since you're so invested in this, I have some good news for you... You can still support charity without RWF! 🎉
I wasn't particularly sold on this before, but I am curious to see Blizzard's attempt at hybrid combat.
I'm curious if that's a direction that they want to test and potentially bring into retail.
Take WoW’s Talebound for a spooky spin from Oct 30 - Nov 1 with 3 eerie tales, 3 different difficulties, and 3 classes to try 🕷️
No subscription required to try the demo!

Welcome to a live game homie, this isn't classic. It's a new game that is going to have active balance passes.
After seeing the latest balance changes, the WoW Forever beta should've lasted longer. lvl 60 and have all new content disabled/blocked off, feels like blizzard doesn't have any real vision on balance/class design right now. A longer beta would've helped here.
Also the inconsistency of quality of life between classes seems weird, paladins go from 5min buffs to 1hr but warlock still cant stack soul shards and hunters only get 200 arrow stacks. Doesn't feel like every class is being treated equally.
Retail had more M+ parses on Rogue yesterday than there are players that play RS3.
This shit is so fucking dumb.
M+ is like 10% of the player base and had around 449k parses just yesterday.
No one is threatened my dude lol
I recently started working on the Loremaster achievement and didn't realize how much Cataclysm reworked the Vanilla zones and quests. I had mainly only touched Cataclysm's campaign and end game.
I actually can't believe how massive of an expansion it actually was.
The Epic launcher can't even successfully launch Cyberpunk 2077 on Linux without me editing the name of the .exe file.
How about instead of picking fights with Valve, who has invested a fuckton into the space, you actually make a decent fucking product?
Your launcher was literally only valuable as an installer, and honestly, I wish I didn't buy it through your shitty fucking platform.
Not to mention, UE5 has to be one of the most over-fucking-hyped dogshit engines we have had in years. Shit was supposed to be optimized and even run well on low end machines, and we're lucky if UE5 games don't run like shit on a current-gen rig.
Oh, and release an Unreal Tournament game, you fucking coward.

There is a real economic cost to Valve’s foray into forced political disclosures. Besides taking 30%, they’re also taking a potentially even larger fraction of developers’ revenue and livelihood by undermining their business with these AI hate campaigns.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Steam requires disclosure of generative AI for player-consumed content via its standard Content Survey (alongside ratings), shown on store pages for transparency, not as political statements. Steam's base 30% revenue share matches major console platforms.

I can't get over how fucking lame this fucking post was 🤣
Bro literally tagged Johanna Faries.
Homie must have cried every time someone took him off a MySpace top 5 lol
It’s interesting how an account I never interacted with before, @JenEricLive, blocked me. Eric is a “social media manager” for @Warcraft
Idiocracy wasn't something we were supposed to be shooting for.

I think people greatly underestimate how many people are probably just playing the game for housing alone.
5.1m downloads is not insignificant. It might not be for those that want to level and do end game shit but it's a massive horizontal progression for a very quiet audience.
Also to expand on this. Do we really need 3-4 pages of decor in every vendor in the game? I get it housing is evergreen and it was pretty hype at start but when a new vendor comes into the game for an event and I have to go through pages of decor before I actually see a mog/mount/pet/toy it feels like the priorities are not where they should be.
Housing was something I think Blizzard spent SO MUCH money on pre-Midnight and if you were ask them they would tell you the numbers they wanted are not the numbers they are getting. Not even close. And it feels borderline forced at some points.
Ads about Midnight leading up to launch were pretty much housing. I didn't see a public add for the actual content in the game until the wek before launch.
