Simply, absolutely nobody would’ve bought a property if they knew it didn’t meet the Regs of the time. That much is patently obvious. Why is it so difficult for Govt to LEGISLATE for FULL redress? JFDI. Companies have already taken profits- they & Execs should be held to account!
Yet more evidence that @RishiSunak holds criminals in higher regard than leaseholders - whether corrupt developers, test-faking cladding manufacturers or everyday fraudsters.
It would be much easier to solve the #BuildingSafetyCrisis if you went and got that back, @RishiSunak.
Bittersweet seeing this article from the incredible @Lees_Martina - on one hand it's great to have our story so passionately and clearly told, but on the other it sure is depressing being reminded of just how dire our absurd situation is.
Rejected for public funding, this Manchester block is caught up in a corporate web showing how hard it is to make companies pay as Gove has pledged: No one will pay to fix our unsafe flats — and now we could lose our homes

Imagine if the BBC charged @michaelgove the full cost for fixing their broken lift, even though he doesn't own it, he was just using it for a short time. (1/5)

But Tory MPs adamantly aren’t. I also understand only 3 ministers spoke in favour of Plan B now during Cabinet yesterday. One senior Tory MP just now: “I’m not having all our lives fucked up by these fucking halfwits again just to dig themselves out of their own fucking mess”.

I too am angry about the Christmas party. But I would honestly like to see some more anger over the fact that the government covered up the risk of dangerous cladding for three decades before Grenfell and still had the audacity this week to pretend it caught them by surprise
I was under the impression that defaulting on my service charge resulted in the freeholder taking ownership of the property? Would that not mean that the lender gets nothing but bad debt without an asset?

A government Minister just confirmed in Parliament that there are no minutes to the meeting(s) that took place between Lord Bethell, Owen Paterson and Randox as part of Randox being awarded £600 million of contracts without any kind of tender or any process.
This is corruption.

Thank you agent @NadineDorries for the incredible work you're doing to help us get the Tories out.
MPs are renting their properties at tax payers' expense whilst innocent leaseholders face horrendous life changing debt on homes valued at zero. Galling.

How on earth can you consult with the perpetrators that created these problems, to determine ultimately how much the victims will pay? This Government is an absolute disgrace.

More indications that Treasury is unwilling to provide more funds to support leaseholders in buildings with remediation. Sunak tells @CommonsTreasury that beyond the £5bn building safety fund and building safety charge, remediation will paid for from 'regular sources of funding'
