Listen to what Senator Chris Murphy had to say... shortly before suffering a stroke. Wishing the Senator a speedy recovery

10/10 handling of an insane situation. he’s going to be a great senator.
El-Sayed: I have a sense that you all are here today because of the decisions of somebody who's not here right now. I'm just going to tell you, this is a state of 10 million people who deserve a lot better from their government. I'm a lot more focused on the 9,999,998 that are not the ones you guys are talking about
I'm not in the business of driving clicks for you. I'm in the business of trying to solve problems for the people of my state

Proud to team up with @DanielBiss to emphasize our vociferous support for @AbdulElSayed.
A vote for Abdul is a vote to materially improve the lives of working people, get money out of politics & deliver healthcare to all.
A vote for Rogers is a vote for more MAGA lunacy and all of the fearmongering, authoritarianism & bigotry that comes with it.
The stakes are high, and the choice is clear. @bradlander and I urge Michiganders to vote for Abdul El-Sayed, a leader who will fight for a healthier, safer, and more just future for all.

I'm so grateful for the support from Mark here. It's an honor to know that people who are truly passionate about fighting for a better world are standing with us in solidarity.
Thank you @MarkRuffalo 💪

I didn’t think it was possible to combine primary-loser-sour-grapes & Islamophobia into a more toxic cocktail than Andrew Cuomo. But Haley Stevens has managed to do it.
If she wants to betray civil rights, reproductive freedom, immigrant protections, and working families by endorsing Mike Rogers and trying to give control of the Senate to J.D. Vance and Donald Trump, I guess that's her business — but it’s appalling, oddly patronizing, and simply false to claim that it’s in the interest of Michigan’s Jewish communities.
Our safety comes from welcoming the stranger, fighting for universal human rights, and building pluralist democracy — not from endorsing neo-Nazi adjacent MAGA fanatics.
Fortunately, there’s a powerful response of solidarity and shared safety, that every Jewish & non-Jewish Michigander can do on Tuesday:
Vote for @AbdulElSayed

Rep. Haley Stevens’ staff is right to resign in disgust. They understand that the election in Michigan is far more important than Haley’s fragile ego and that all of us must stand together to elect Abdul, defeat Rogers and end the Republican rubber-stamp control of the Senate.
New: Statement from Haley Stevens’ chief of staff Justin German confirms many of her team have resigned & they back Abdul El-Sayed for #MISen
“We are shocked and heartbroken by Congresswoman Stevens’ decision to support Mike Rogers.”

Stop re-tweeting and quote tweeting that evil gremlin lady who lost and became a Republican. Just RT Abdul our next senator

Dr. Abdul El-Sayed will be an incredible fighter for Michiganders.
Abdul represents the future of our party. Don’t get distracted by the noise from shills for AIPAC.
Money out of politics.
More money in your pockets.
Medicare for All.
That’s the fight. Vote Abdul.

President Obama is all in to elect Abdul El-Sayed to the U.S. Senate.
"This country belongs to all of us. Not just the wealthy or well-connected—everyone. That idea is under attack, and Michigan is where we fight back.
That's why I'm asking YOU to support Abdul El-Sayed for U.S. Senate."

New: The Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party says:
“Congresswoman Stevens is not a current member of the Michigan Democratic Party, nor will she be in the future.”

A vote for Mike Rogers is a vote for a national abortion ban. Let me say that again. A vote for Mike Rogers is a vote for a national abortion ban.

Haley Stevens doesn’t care about Michigan. Haley Stevens doesn’t care about democratic values or taking on the cost of living crisis. Haley Stevens cares about Haley Stevens.
Vote for Abdul on Tuesday.

Insane that this person was the pick of the Democratic establishment. She is now gleefully embracing a Trump Republican who has run the most blatantly racist senate campaign in memory.
Replying to @samueljrob
Stevens says she’s for investing in Black owned businesses. “And that’s the policy that Mike’s going to take on,” Stevens says.

Let’s be real for a second.
The real reason Corporate Dems & Republicans want Abdul to lose is because they are bought by healthcare donors and he wrote a whole book pushing for Medicare For All.
He didn’t just endorse it, he’s the expert on it. And they hate him for that.
