Today marks two years since my assignment as Japan’s Ambassador to Bhutan. My seven visits to 🇧🇹 have been incredible, filled with discoveries, meaningful encounters and warm hospitality. Excited to further advance 🇯🇵🇧🇹cooperation in this 40th anniversary year of our friendship.

Two years ago today, I arrived in Delhi as Japan’s Ambassador to India. After 36 trips across 18 states, my admiration for India’s dynamism, diversity, and the potential of 🇯🇵🇮🇳 ties has only grown. Looking forward to strengthening our friendship as we mark 75 years in 2027!

Hosted a special reception in Thimphu in the presence of the chief guest, FM Dhungyel and distinguished guests! We celebrated the 40 years of our friendship, honoring contributors to the bilateral relations and enjoying traditional dances & cuisines from each country🇯🇵🇧🇹

Hosted a tax seminar and had a productive discussion on international taxation with senior officials from @IncomeTaxIndia and representatives of Japanese companies. Tax predictability and transparency are key to further expanding 🇮🇳🇯🇵 investment.
