Character art for everybody's favourite imp has arrived - thank you so much to the amazing @grendraws for their work on this! I love how they're captured him in the act of doing something he almost certainly shouldn't be doing 😂
If you like:
* grown up protagonists
* thrift shops and coffee shops
* a sprinkling of data science
* sweary fairies
* mythology and vengeance
then Somewhere To Be should be your next read!

Today I am making peace with the fact that this book will be over 100k words. Just - not TOO much over, I hope 😬
Yeah, so anyway, I found another plot hole and it was driving me crazy, you know how it is, anyway long story short, we're back up to 106k words 😬

Nigel Farage took £40,000 to speak at a conference helping wealthy people gain citizenship abroad. Now he’s stoking fears that entrepreneurs are “fleeing all over the world”.

Reform UK took £2.3 million from fossil fuel firms. £2.3 million!
They’ll hike your bills, lie about it with nonsense about oil & gas, and throw in some culture war nonsense to keep you distracted.
Different packaging. Same old grift.

Liz Truss is a former Prime Minister, a former leader of the Conservative Party, has been a member of the privy council for more than a decade and has 24 hour protection from the Metropolitan Police. Who precisely does she think "the elite" is if it's not her?

And this is the person who accuses trans people of being crazy. Putting an angry psycho scrawl in Nicola’s new book. You’ve completely lost the plot @jk_rowling . It’s YOU 🫵 and your ghouls making Britain a more dangerous place for ALL women.

The issue isn’t that you “chose to organise separately”. There’s nothing wrong with groups focusing on specific parts of the LGBTQ+ community. The problem is that you actively work and lobby to undermine trans people’s rights, while aligning with known homophobes and biphobes.
Great article on the harm done to LGB rights by fanatical believers in “gender identity” doctrine.
When LGB Alliance decided to organize separately - simply as lesbians, gay men and bisexuals - they did their best to defame and destroy us. Instead, we grew. And the public gradually tired of the “queer” industry with its labels, its demands, and its histrionics.

Since we passed the Affordable Care Act, Republicans have tried over and over to repeal it. And over and over, they’ve failed — in part because millions of people now depend on the ACA for quality, affordable health care.
Now Republicans are trying something different: quietly weakening the law and hoping you won’t notice. We can’t let them.
