5 years ago I was just your run of the mill, suburban SAHM. I was living my best life with mom friends, and playdates and long trips to target with a Starbucks in hand. But then the powers that be unleashed a biological weapon, isolated us and locked us in our homes. The government pushed me over the edge. I spent those first few months falling down rabbit hole after rabbit hole. While my mom friends were watching Tiger King and baking sourdough I was watching Out of Shadows and learning everything I could about John Podesta, Jeffrey Epstein and sex trafficking. I read about Operation Mocking Bird and MK Ultra. I found every piece of information and resource I could find about Anthony Fauci and the 1980’s AIDS epidemic. I learned the names of my state and local public health officials, researched everything about them and spent hours and hours on legislative hearings over zoom. I dived into topics I never wanted to know about and never would have thought about if the world had just gone on. I believe I’m a much different person than I should be. I’m jaded, on high alert, I analyze everything and often think the worst of people. I wish I could go back and just be that 2019 version of myself. I wish I didn’t know what I know now and I wish my life was just filled with leisurely strolls through Target with a coffee in hand. I’ve written many times about what was taken from our kids but we don’t often acknowledge how Covid altered our paths and reshaped who we once were.

I think it’s awesome that people raised $200k for Walt, the Red Baron worker who was harassed by a dumb prankster. But what nobody’s talking about is how his company was sold to a Korean conglomerate — which then cut pay, gutted benefits, and forced unpaid mandatory overtime.

Isa Cayahuga is not an American citizen, and our country should not tolerate her existence in our borders for a second longer. Her and her entire shitlib immigrant family need to be deported immediately.
At @UTSA for Pick Up the Mic, a student read a poem celebrating the assassination of Charlie Kirk with such glee, then told me I was brave to be out here without my neck covered. I told her I’d pray for her. This is the climate. We pick up the mic anyway.

Kentucky residents played a loud recording of the noise pollution from data centers to show its disruptive impact. Within seconds, county officials grew irritated and told them to “act like adults” and turn it off. The corrupt politicians who vote for and push these data centers onto our communities couldn’t handle the piercing sound for a few seconds, yet expect residents to live with it every day. Welcome to the USA, where politicians prioritize the bottom line of the corporations and billionaires that fund their campaigns over the needs of our people and communities.

How and why is this arrest worthy? She has someone coming before and after school and the 14 year old is there to help with the younger siblings-whom are pretty much old enough to do everything on their own. Get the government out of our lives

Trump just said it to your face: They’ll say I’m bragging about all the money they’re making while people suffer at the pump. “I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.” The “we” isn’t you. Gas is $4.30+ because of the Iran war. Ordinary Americans are paying for it at the pump. The ones making money like never before are the oil companies and the connected class. He doesn’t care.

Hal Rogers, representing Kentucky’s 5th District since 1981, has overseen decades of poverty in the district, with a poverty rate of around 24% and a median household income in the mid $40,000s. Despite decades of power and federal funding, the district’s conditions have not improved. Known as the “Prince of Pork,” Rogers, a senior appropriator and former Appropriations chairman, directed hundreds of millions in earmarks to the district and nonprofits like the Center for Rural Development and Operation UNITE. Watchdog groups documented instances where family members, former aides, and donors benefited, including a Kentucky company charging the Army $17,000 for Blackhawk helicopter drip pans that competitors sold for a fraction of the price, with Rogers having earmarked millions for the company and its associates. On surveillance, Rogers voted to extend Patriot Act provisions and supported measures reducing the need for traditional FISA warrants for certain overseas surveillance. Kentucky’s incarceration rate is among the highest in the world for a democratic jurisdiction, around 889 per 100,000 people, higher than almost any independent democratic country and trailing only El Salvador. The state locks up a larger share of its population than the UK, Italy, or most of Western Europe. Rogers has represented this environment for nearly half a century. The same small network of local power brokers, nonprofits tied to his office, and federal contractors has operated in the same space. People keep re-electing it. The poverty rankings, earmark trail, donor lists, and results remain the same. If the defense is “he brings home the bacon,” the obvious follow-up is: after 45 years, why is the district still one of the poorest in the country? The data doesn’t lie; the support does.

Ilhan Omar says this is the most weaponized DOJ in history, and says she’s rattled by her 6am raid. Yet Omar supported not only the raids of Trump supporters who did far less than she’s accused of, but also the fact that they were taken straight to jail where many sat for 4 years. She had no sympathy for those people. Should we have sympathy for her?

Ilhan Omar didn’t used to dress modestly and wear a hijab. Nothing unusual about turning towards faith as a person matures, but it is strange that her inspiration was 9/11, the worst terrorist attack in history, perpetrated by Muslims against her adopted country.

Horrible ideas. Absolutely terrible. This isn’t making parenting more affordable, it’s institutionalizing children and creating a larger tax burden for the community. Want to make parenting more affordable? Cut our taxes.
