I was expecting Israel to be a little America—mostly English-speaking, a land full of convenience. What I found was distinctly Middle Eastern—the people are brash, speak with their hands, and often don't know a lick of English. There are stray cats everywhere, mopeds, and graffiti. The street signs are in Hebrew, English, and Arabic. There is a mosque on prime beachfront property in Tel Aviv. There is every kind of citizen imaginable. I saw Ethiopian Jews serving in the IDF. While touring an ancient Jewish site, I ran into a group of Arab schoolchildren also there to learn. I met a Mizrahi cab driver whose parents fled Morocco in the 50s. Douglas Murray famously made Americans irate when he flamed Dave Smith on an episode of Joe Rogan for having never traveled to Israel—but he’s right. Visiting Israel shows you just how wrong the west is about the Jewish state. Just go there.

Iran’s FM cheers on unrest in France. A regime that executes protesters at home and exports terror abroad is now lecturing Paris on “freedom of assembly.” No one has forgotten the thousands of its own citizens that the Iranian regime massacred in January, or the oppression, violence and executions that continue to this day.
Mr. Macron made his bed when he assured POTUS that he welcomes atrocities against Iranians. Too late to blame the war his ilk helped cause. The French people demand wholesale change, including freedom of assembly. Listen to the future of France, Mr. President.

An important and historic day in the relations between Israel and Colombia, and for Jerusalem, our capital. This morning, together with my friend, Colombia’s Foreign Minister @omarbula, I inaugurated the Embassy of Colombia in Jerusalem. I thank my friend, the President of Colombia @ABDELAESPRIELLA, who told me in Buenos Aires, long before his election: “If I am elected President, I will immediately move the Embassy of Colombia to Jerusalem.” He made a promise, and he kept it. This is the tenth embassy to open in Jerusalem. Since I took office less than two years ago, the number of embassies in our capital has doubled! And there will be more, God willing, very soon! 🇮🇱🇨🇴 @CancilleriaCol @IsraelMFA

I was pleased to welcome and speak with a cross-bench delegation of members of the House of Lords. I spoke with them about my decision to end the operations of the British Consulate in Jerusalem and other counter measures I had to take in response to Labour government’s policies against Israel. Very good and frank conversation! We still have good friends in the UK.

Very strong and wise words from Nigel. October 7th was not only the darkest day for Israel in a generation. It exposed something deeply troubling here in Britain too. The glorification of terrorism. The rise in antisemitism. The intimidation of British Jews on our streets. Reform Friends of Israel stands firmly with Israel, with Britain’s Jewish community and against antisemitism in all its forms. Never again must mean something.

50 years on, the words of my father, Chaim Herzog, then Israel’s Ambassador to the UN, ring as true today as they did then. Those who claim the antisemitic lie that “Zionism is racism” deliberately endanger Jews and Israelis everywhere. Zionism is the national liberation movement of the Jewish people and the foundation of our right to a state and a national home in the Land of Israel. No motion, in any party or any parliament, will ever change these eternal truths.

The atrocities committed by Hamas on the 7th Oct shames the Palestinians. For generations they're schooled into hating Israelis, & also Christians. It starts as young as two, right through to adulthood. A Gazan pushing back says "There is extreme racism & they teach them how to kill & how to fight Jews." Incidentally many teachers are paid by the British taxpayer via our contributions to the United Nation's @UNRWA. Of whom 108 are linked to Hamas, & seven participated in 7 Oct butchery. dailymail.com/news/article-1…

Tony Blair on Gaza: There is talk of free Palestine, but for Palestinians living in Gaza, they don't need a slogan; they need a solution. To be free, Gaza must live in peace with its neighbors and with itself. And this cannot happen if it's governed by those who use Gaza as a base for war against a neighbor it has no chance of defeating.

We didn’t hear the part where you condemn the Palestinian murderer who killed a Jewish father in front of his son yesterday, on the eve of Yom Kippur. “Strong values”?
Stronger in our values. Bolder in our action. Relentless in the alliances we build.

Following FM @gidonsaar’s offer of assistance, an Israeli search, rescue & humanitarian aid delegation will depart for Colombia tonight in response to the devastating earthquake. The 🇮🇱 delegation, comprising some 80 personnel from the MFA, IDF & Ministry of Defense, will assist with search and rescue efforts and distribute food and water to those affected. The Embassy of Israel in Colombia will coordinate the delegation’s activities with local authorities.

It is incredible. There is no aspect of the genocide allegation against Israel that has not collapsed. The media, NGOs, UN hangers on, fraudulent academics, and influencers should be apologising for three years of lies and false assumptions. open.substack.com/pub/mrandr… mrandrewfox.substack.com/p/c…
