Automated turrets developed with @BRAVE1ua have destroyed more than 60 targets as part of Ukraine’s private air defense project. Among them are jet-powered Banderol munitions and Geran-5 drones. In the past month alone, the turrets also took down dozens of enemy UAVs over Kyiv. The turrets are now in service with the Air Force. As of mid-October, nearly 100 companies had joined the initiative. Read more: mod.gov.ua/en/news/ukraine-p…

790 gender advisors now serve across Ukraine’s Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces. Five work full-time on strategy and policy. The other 785 serve in units and take on the role alongside their primary duties. Their job is to prevent sex-based discrimination and sexual harassment and to make sure women and men in uniform have equal rights and opportunities. Any service member can contact an advisor confidentially, and retaliation for doing so is prohibited. Read more: mod.gov.ua/en/news/gender-ad…

Ballistic missiles, cheap cruise missiles, high-speed drones and glide bombs are Russia’s main air threats today, Minister of Defence Evgeniy Khmara told defense manufacturers. To counter them, the MoD, @mintsyfra and @BRAVE1ua are launching grants for guided air-to-air missiles and Ukrainian radars, with turbojet engines next in line. Khmara: “We need technologies that change the rules of the game in our favor.” Read more: mod.gov.ua/en/news/brave1-gr…

Ukraine’s Defense Forces punched three holes in Russia’s air defense in a single day, opening more room for Ukrainian drones to work. Hit on October 27 and overnight into October 28: - Tor-2M SAM system, near Rzhava, Kursk region - Radar station, near Maloye Gorodkovo, Kursk region - EW station, near Semyachki, Bryansk region - Logistics depot, near Valerianivka, temporarily occupied Donetsk region Each one leaves a gap. Strikes on key military targets will continue until Russia ends its war against Ukraine. Source: @GeneralStaffUA

🇺🇦🤝🇷🇴 Minister of Defence Evgeniy Khmara spoke with Romania’s new Minister of National Defence Ștefan-Radu Oprea and congratulated him on his appointment. The ministers discussed Black Sea security amid Russian attacks on ports and vessels, along with air defense needs. Ukraine needs Patriot missiles against ballistic threats, HAWK and AIM-9 missiles against cruise missiles, and F-16 munitions to shoot down jet-powered drones. Romania also trains Ukrainian pilots at the European F-16 Training Centre. More trained pilots means more aircraft protecting Ukrainian skies. Thank you, Romania! It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7.
A horrific Russian strike on the railway station in Dnipro. The Russians launched a drone attack on a platform where an ordinary commuter train and a scheduled passenger train were standing. Unfortunately, 13 people have been confirmed killed as of now. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Ten more people were injured. All necessary emergency services are working at the scene. Just how many terrorist strikes has Russia carried out against our people since sanctions were lifted on certain Russian oligarchs and the Russian energy sector, rather than de-escalating? This is precisely why Ukraine has always said that just and decisive action by America and Europe is needed in response to Russian escalation – sanctions against Moscow and its war machine must not be eased for as long as this Russian war continues. It is time for new, stronger sanctions steps by the EU, the United States, and the G7. I thank everyone who is ready to help in this way.

Ukrainian pilots will soon begin training on French Rafale fighter jets. The Rafale can carry up to 9.5 tons of weapons, which means more firepower and fewer sorties to get the job done.

Amphibious UGVs now have their own category on Brave1 Market @BRAVEua. These robots handle rough terrain on land and can carry cargo across rivers, canals, and marshland. The first three are already listed: BI34G, Toni, and Triton. The technology has already proven itself in combat. The 93rd Mechanized Brigade’s Alter Ego unit recently ran the first-ever combat mission with an amphibious robot, covering more than 40 km over land and water to deliver provisions and ammunition to positions. Units will soon be able to order amphibious UGVs through ePoints as well. Read more: mod.gov.ua/en/news/ukraine-a…

Security guarantees need legal groundwork. The Ministry of Defence is working to bring the NATO Status of Forces Agreement into Ukrainian law. At a working meeting held with the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union, representatives of 18 state institutions reviewed a draft Implementation Plan covering criminal jurisdiction, damage claims, customs and taxation.
