A few years back in Australia, I told em the story of how this all started…
At first, they said I couldn’t do it.
“No money. No team. No way.”
But I had a vision, a voice, and I had a truck.
So I hit the road.
I sold everything. No house. No apartment. Just a phone bill and a tank of gas. Slept in that pickup from state to state, chasing something nobody else saw yet.
In 2022, I said we’d host five Beef Initiative conferences. We ended up doing seven. Not a dollar in the bank. Just belief.
People started showing up. Liz from North Carolina called me out of the blue—said “Are you coming or not?” So I went to North Carolina and hosted a Cattleman’s Feast at a Bitcoin event there.
Through these “Beef Intelligence Summits” and beyond, Marty @MartyBent gave us a mic. Jimmy @jimmysong brought the educators. And Jason @JasonWrich? Well shoot that man’s a Marine, a cowboy, and a coal miner rolled into one.
That’s how we built the Beef Initiative. With grit. With guts. With grace.
And yeah, by the way, I didn’t speak till I was five. Used to stutter so bad I could barely get a sentence out. Now I speak for a movement. A generation. A future worth fighting for.
We’re not just rebuilding beef.
We’re rebuilding sovereignty.
One ranch.
One story.
One child at a time.

Hey @SecRollins since the USDA oversees the Beef Checkoff program, which is supposed to market beef, and has collected over 1 billion dollars from the cattle ranchers since its inception in 1985, why is it that since that time beef per capita consumption is down 25% and nearly 50% of cattle ranchers have gone out of business?
It’s seems like if a private company had paid that much for marketing and had gotten such abysmal results, they would have been fired long ago!
What is the justification for keeping the administratively bloated and ineffective Checkoff as is? Seems like a massive overhaul is needed!
