Understandably, the club is going through tough financial constraints. But when even the basics are neglected and things are done just for the sake of it, it doesn't paint a good picture at all. Compare these two pictures. (FYI, our season at home almost got stalled over THIS pitch) The manager is struggling through no fault of his own. We barely have any attacking options to bring on in the second half. Not blaming the players one bit. They'll continue to get all the love and support they rightfully deserve, as will the staff who work tirelessly at this club. But if the management doesn't show the same ambition and get even the little things right, it won't be long before another club in Mumbai/India faces the same fate. Just look back a few years, to 2024. The pitch was never a concern. Players left midway through the season for various reasons, but we got on with the job and brought in replacements. Krouma, Iker and Vojtus were all mid-season signings. We won silverware that season. That's what ambition and accountability looked like. When a manager is left to fend for himself with a thin squad and limited options, it's hardly surprising if he starts questioning his future. Please do better, Mumbai. Show some ambition. That's all we ask. Running this club isn't a tick-box exercise. It's about taking pride in what this badge represents and doing the little things right, even when times are tough.
