Token 2049 started 9 years ago with a modest community of 2000 crypto professionals meeting in Hong Kong

I remember the first time I heard about Bitcoin in 2016
A friend had told me there’s this digital currency i can invest in
But I never looked into it or checked its price
At first i didn’t think much about it, but this changed when I heard more people discussing it
And I’m sure I’m not the only person who wish, they bought Bitcoin as soon as they heard about it
It’s still shocking that most people still have never invested in Bitcoin
Most people will only buy Bitcoin once their friends and family started to repeatedly talk about it
That’s the effect of being in a community
Consistent reminders, and genuine conversations where no one is trying to sell something is how you actually got sold on looking into or investing in something
Because only once something is being told to you again and again by people you know like and trust, will you start to consider doing it
Even Satoshi knew this, and that is why he started communities around Bitcoin rather than trying to advertise it
It proves communities scale better than targeted ad campaigns, especially on communily.ai
