Some good news in what has been a rather fruitless season of job hunting: my doctoral thesis has been accepted, passed unanimously through peer review, and will be published in Brill's 'Studies in the History of Christian Traditions' series. 🙌

1) Historical texts carry contexts with them.
E.g., if I read in Luther’s late Judenschriften doubts about the reliability of the Hebrew vowel points, can I understand his comments well without knowing about the 1538 publication of Elijah Levita’s seminal work on this topic?

As I’ve shared before, if you’re interested in studying Reformed theology right at its original epicenter this might be a degree for you. It is very affordable (funded by Switzerland itself).
Very pleased to see this come together:
Together with Geneva’s Faculty of Protestant Theology, the Institut d’histoire de la Réformation is launching a Master’s program in Reformed Studies, starting Fall 2027. It will be international (all in English), interdisciplinary, and affordable.

Lovely to see this out and available this morning!
(If I am permitted a small boast, the editor of the volume said he assumed I must be one of Bernie McGinn's students after reading my chapter, which is quite literally the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me.)
In some more happy dissertation related news: I found out this morning my doctoral thesis was awarded the University of Geneva's Théodore Claparède prize for outstanding doctoral theses in the field of Theology.

Also, I'm currently in the process of applying for an open-access grant through the Swiss National Science Foundation. The hope is that this book will be accessible to whoever wants to read it.
