Three young children, ages 3 to 5, started to drown underneath a capsized boat as their parents screamed for help.
The boat had flipped with nine people on board, and while the others made it out, the three smallest children were still trapped underneath. Their parents couldn’t reach them, and every second they remained under the water mattered.
Nearby, Jason Horne heard their screams. He told his 12 year old daughter to call 911, jumped into the water and dove underneath the overturned boat.
He found the first child and pulled him out conscious and coughing. Then Jason went back underneath and found a 5 year old girl who wasn’t breathing. He got her onto the overturned boat and immediately started CPR until she finally gasped and opened her eyes.
But there was still another child trapped underneath.
Jason dove back in. The third child, a 3 year old boy, was eventually pulled free tangled in rope and without a pulse. Jason immediately began CPR for a second time as they rushed toward shore, and before they reached the dock, the little boy started breathing.
All three children survived.
Jason went under that boat again and again until every one of those kids was breathing. I think a dad like that deserves a little recognition today.

Ten usual suspects have been jailed for a combined 130 years after a mother was set on fire in a revenge attack that also seriously injured a teenage girl.
To escape the flames at a house, both victims were forced to jump from an upstairs window they had smashed.
A 31-year-old woman inside the property was struck on the head and set on fire. She suffered 65% burns, a broken pelvis, broken ribs and a cut to her liver.
A 13-year-old girl, also in the house, suffered 15% burns to her right arm!

A 7-year-old girl was riding her bike when a stranger pulled up, grabbed her and forced her into his car.
Her aunt, Alecia Swejkoski, saw it happen and sprinted toward the vehicle.
Alecia threw herself halfway through the driver’s side window and started fighting him while her niece was still trapped inside. The man punched her, grabbed for the wheel and violently jerked the car forward and backward, trying to throw her off and get away.
But Alecia kept one hand on the steering wheel and the other fighting to get his grip off the little girl.
Then another driver, Scott Van Luven, saw what was happening and pulled his vehicle in front of the car to block the suspect in. He rushed over, helped pull the man out and held him there until police arrived.
Alecia was hurt, but her niece got out safely.
Because Alecia refused to let go and Scott chose to stop and help, that little girl made it safely back to her family.

Police say they planned it, disabled his truck so he couldn't leave, beat him with rocks, bragged about leaving him for de*d... and bond was set at $12,500.
His name is Yordanis Herrera.
On June 11th, he was at the Sanibel Boat Ramp with his wife.
According to the arrest affidavits, three men pulled into that parking lot in a white BMW and a black Ram pickup.
They found his Ford F-150.
Police say they slashed the tires so the truck wasn't going anywhere.
Then they hid in the bushes around the lot and waited for him to come back.
When he did, investigators say all three came out of the bushes holding ROCKS and surrounded him.
He tried to run.
Police say Hansel Pompa Mauri tackled him from behind, forced him to the ground, and held him there.
Then, according to the affidavit, Dayan Estrada De Armas and Roberto Antonio Estrada De Armas beat him with the rocks OVER AND OVER in the face.
By the time it was all over, he had deep lacerations and hematomas to his head and face.
Police say one of them was RECORDING IT while it happened.
Police say Pompa Mauri stomped on his phone and destroyed it.
Then all three left.
A witness told police she saw the white car heading north on Causeway Boulevard... right past Yordanis's wife, who was still on the beach.
And someone inside yelled: "We left him there de*d."
IT GETS WORSE.
Nothing happened for almost THREE MONTHS.
All three are charged with conspiracy and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Bond for the two men accused of swinging the rocks? Just $12,500 each.
Bond for the man accused of tackling the victim and holding him down while it happened? $13,500.
