I have very fond memories of the old Pac-10 North baseball days in the early 1990s and trips to Coleman Field in Corvallis, where Darrell called games from a wooden shack that was nicer than UW's Graves Field press box! RIP to an OSU legend.

I worked game days for the Warriors in 1990-91 and one of my jobs was to get the starting lineups from the head coaches each game. He was always funny and gruff and friendly, and I really liked him. RIP.
The Golden State Warriors mourn the passing of Hall of Fame head coach Don Nelson.
"Nellie" was one of the most innovative and influential coaches in NBA history and an iconic figure in Warriors history. He was a true basketball visionary who saw the game differently and was never afraid to challenge conventional thinking. His approach helped shape the game and paved the way for generations of players and coaches who followed.
More than anything, Don Nelson will be remembered for his authenticity, larger-than-life personality, and incredible passion for basketball, and his influence on the Warriors franchise will endure for years to come.
On behalf of the entire Warriors organization, we offer our sincere condolences to his wife, Joy, his family, and countless friends.

But gender will not define her impact and legacy. 20+years on the sidelines, a distinguished and robust resume and her delightful personality, care for the craft and professionalism makes this an incredible hire. EARNED excellence. @EliseMWoodward is perfect for this role.
I've said it before: these press conferences after tragic events, where they seem to feel the need to have 10 different principals, are performative and a waste of time.
Just have a well-informed spokesman and let the sheriff, police chief, mayor, governor, etc., get to work!
People can find stuff to complain about with regard to just about everything, but I think all of the World Cup coverage on @FOXSports has been fantastic. Studio shows, the hosts and pundits, all the game crews have been great.
