This wipe I'm focusing on teaching & helping close friends & building our understanding of the game. I'm hoping some find that process enjoyable, insightful, or can offer further guidance.
While I still want to play with friends, it also means minimizing giga-stacking. It's been eye-opening experiencing playing the game outside of a "stacked squad", and I want to be relatable rather than watching a far-off experience of the game.
Finally, doing this has given me perspective to how hardcore and punishing the game can be, and how it allows top teams to snowball while average teams get stuck in death spirals, even when exfilling. I really hope this changes in the future as even one day into a new wipe the gap is noticeable and there have been moments of frustration.

Idk everyone shits on Lightfall and I too shit on Lightfall but I feel like Shadowkeep had the greater sin of just being kinda boring outside of the first and kinda last mission
Obviously I'm hoping for WAY more narrative content in Symbiosis and beyond but in the meantime I love little things like this that add character to the world lmao
The Final Shape. If the Light and Dark Saga had ended on a bad note, I don’t think Bungie or Destiny’s community would have survived long-term. The feeling that the past 10 years had led to something worthwhile - that’s an empowering reality. And I think we still carry that.

We’re making a change to address cases where shots against Spectre Shielded players could appear to not register after the shield broke. When the Nightfall Refresh goes live tomorrow, if a player using a Spectre Shield keeps firing after becoming invisible, their invisibility will now flicker after 0.2 seconds instead of 0.9 seconds. This restores aim assist against them sooner during a fight, while preserving the shield’s intended ability to help them reposition and escape when they stop engaging.
We’ve also made changes so gunfire is more reliable against invisible players. In practice, that means fewer moments where you’re aiming at a Spectre Shielded player, but your shots appear to miss while they’re invisible.

Lowkey I’m always thinking about how I will die with no dignity or in a highly preventable way. Like something that will just make the funeral deeply uncomfortable for my loved ones. The kinda death where it just feels so incorrect that you get a little nauseous.
