I just won the Scribe Award!! 🎉🎉
Huge thank you to the Scribe Award committee and the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers. Jonathan Maberry presenting it to me made it even more special—and I’m so glad I could be here in person to receive it. I just moved to Austin, Texas, I wasn’t sure I was going to make it to San Diego Comic-Con this year. But I’m so glad I did. 🎉🙌🎉
So grateful to Penguin Random House, Netflix, the entire Stranger Things team, and the Duffer Brothers for trusting me with Eleven. Writing her story was a genuine dream for this massive fan of the show.
Special thanks to my editor Geoff Smith for making it happen on an intense timeline. Hitting the New York Times bestseller list was already unforgettable… and then today happened.
Still a little stunned. Thank you. ❤️

I’ve always believed Palpatine learned the secret to immortality from Darth Sidious = and that secret involves stealing somebody else’s life! Her death is intercut with Vader coming back to life and breathing. Making it very clear that her life goes to save Vader. It parallels ideas in witchcraft and dark magic. This has been discussed on Star Wars panels. And podcasts I’ve been on.
So yeah… Vader didn’t kill her. But Palpatine did.
Quick Padme rant now that the prequels are trending again.
One of the things that bothers me most about Padme and also incidentally exemplifies how she really does fit the progressive, longhoused girlfriend meme is her death.
A lot of people simplify her death into "Oh Anakin killed her."
To be clear, he did not kill her.
The movie explicitly states she was physically fine but died of a broken heart.
So this woman has 2 newborn children, but she is so heartbroken over Anakin rejecting the Republic and going to the darkside that she can't even summon the will to live to raise her own babies.
Madness. Insanity. Perfect illustration of the liberal adherence to ideology over family.
What could go wrong 😂
A Dutch theater chain is going to hypnotize 30 people to make them forget their favorite films & experience them again for the first time.
After being hypnotized, they’ll watch 1 of 4 films: ‘Interstellar’, ‘The Matrix’, ‘La La Land’ or ‘Se7en’

I’d love to refer anyone looking to try FSD 👀 it’s life changing
Tesla has just officially introduced the first FSD (Supervised) referral program!
If you refer a Tesla owner to try FSD (Supervised), then you earn one month of free FSD (Supervised) or a $99 Tesla Credit.
To refer someone, you must be currently subscribed to FSD (Supervised) or have purchased FSD (Supervised) outright
Sharing your referrer link grants eligible customers a one-month FSD (Supervised) trial. Referrer benefits are earned when your referral recipient subscribes to FSD (Supervised) during their trial. Your referrer benefit will depend on your FSD (Supervised) ownership status as outlined below:
• Subscribed to FSD (Supervised): One month of free FSD (Supervised)
• Purchased FSD (Supervised) outright: $99 Tesla Credit toward eligible purchases.
You can receive referrer benefits up to 12 times per calendar year when your link is used and an FSD (Supervised) subscription is purchased. This new program is currently only available in the U.S.
After your invitee receives the link, they will have access to one free month of FSD (Supervised), if eligible. If they subscribe to FSD (Supervised) during the trial, you will earn your referrer benefit.
Here's my FSD (Supervised) referral link if you want to check it out: tesla.com/get-app/referral?c…

Writing tip of the day: the best plot twists are hidden in plain sight.
Give your readers every clue they need, then dare them to miss it. A twist should feel shocking and inevitable at the same time. Surprise without inevitability is just a cheat — plant your clues as throwaway details: a casual line, a background object, something forgettable.
That's the engine behind the twists in Namaste and Slay — a wellness retreat that turns out to be a hunting ground for billionaires. Every toxic trait from her ex left a breadcrumb trail.
What's the best plot twist you've ever read? The one that made you flip back through the pages to check?
Writing tip of the day: your villain doesn’t think they’re the villain.
Give every antagonist three things: a wound (what broke them), a want (what they’re chasing), and a lie (the story they tell themselves that makes the unthinkable feel justified).
Nobody twirls a mustache in real life. The scariest villains are the ones who genuinely believe they’re saving people. That’s the engine behind Namaste and Slay, if you’re curious.
Who’s your favorite villain of all time? Mine changes weekly, but I want to hear yours.
