Jared Mosley is continuing to set a high bar for ADs. - He hired Neal Brown who has UNT 5-2 so far - Recently announced a $1.02M gift to athletics. - Got classes cancelled so people can make plans for the national spotlight - Fan sentiment seems thru the roof It looks like UNT’s best investment in recent times was signing him to a new deal last year that pays him $750k, which increases by $150k annually.

Some good kids right there
✨️a lil timeline cleanse ✨️ Backstory; Lil man was too talkative in class. Mommy told the coach. Coach disciplined him by having him do up downs after practice. His teammates saw him and decided that he wasnt going to do them alone, so they joined in as a band of brothers.

Be the Seminole Tribe of Florida. > Build a bingo hall on your Hollywood reservation for approximately $900,000 in 1979. > Expand into casinos. Open Hard Rock hotel and casino resorts in Tampa and Hollywood in 2004. > In 2007, acquire Hard Rock International for $965 million. > The business includes 124 cafés, hotels, casinos, entertainment venues and a globally recognized brand. > In 28 years, go from operating a bingo hall to acquiring an international hospitality company. > Continue expanding. Hard Rock now has venues in more than 70 countries. > In 2022, pay another $1.075 billion for the operating assets of the Mirage in Las Vegas, with the real estate leased separately. > Keep the parent company under tribal ownership. > Use gaming revenue to fund more than 90% of the tribal government’s budget, supporting healthcare, education, housing, public safety and other services. > Start with a local business. Expand operations. Acquire the brand. Build internationally. Retain ownership and use the income to support your community. One of the more remarkable business success stories in America!
Today I issued an Executive Order designating “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson as the official anthem of Florida. I have also directed the @FLSecofState to erect historic markers in the City of Apopka depicting John Anderson’s contribution to Florida’s heritage. In addition, I have tasked @FLDEPNews to work with the @SJRWMD to designate wildlife drive and trail system within Lake Apopka North Shore as the John Anderson Wildlife Drive and Trail System.

This!
Louisiana Tech head football coach Sonny Cumbie has learned firsthand that more hours don't always lead to better leadership. "At the end of the day, when my brain is done, I'm going home, and the problems that are here will still be here tomorrow. I'll serve our team better with a fresh mind and being well rested." The longer I've worked with coaches and leaders, the more I've realized that the goal isn't to squeeze every ounce of energy out of yourself in the service of others. It's to sustainably show up at your best so your people (and you) benefit in the process. Coaching will always require sacrifice. There will be long days, late nights, and periods when the demands are especially high. But sacrifice isn't automatically evidence of effectiveness. Sometimes the most productive thing a leader can do is go home, recover, and come back tomorrow ready to think clearly and serve others well. 📹: Win More, Live Better Podcast (Ep. 261)
