What always interested me about the Elizabeth Holmes story was not Holmes (fraudsters and psychopaths are a dime a dozen in America, not sure why she needs more attention), but what her success revealed about the political and economic elite:

Guy told me copper thieves keep stealing cables from charging stations, and I asked him what he does about it, and he said he puts new cables on the charging stations, and I told him it sounds like he's just feeding charging cables to copper thieves, and he started crying

I appreciate that Dolly Parton played no part in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people.
