Scott Weiner is going to beat Connie Chan next week and become SF's next Congressman
Yesterday we were honored to host a house party with Senator @Scott_Wiener, SF's next Congressman, giving constituents a chance to ask him questions in an intimate setting. Please join us for canvassing on Sunday, last weekend before E Day! luma.com/cnl-b9z6

I would like to strongly encourage my followers to vote for Scott Wiener. He has distinguished himself in the state legislature for years. Now that he is term-limited, he deserves a promotion. And anyway — he’s a hell of a lot better than Connie Chan.

We are so thrilled to announce that our resolution to decriminalize plants medicines and psilocybin mushrooms passed in San Francisco. May compassion and love prevail here and everywhere! Thank you @DeanPreston and @HillaryRonen for the bravery and intelligence! 🧿🦋✌🏽🌈🙌🏾
"Nothing of this scale has been seen in the United States, experts say, since the federal government’s counterinsurgency against the New Left and the anti-war movement in the 1960s and 1970s."
Incredible reporting here from @awinston

Chan talks out both sides of her mouth: she says one thing in the Chinese press and another in English.
Two standout interviews took place just before the June primary, when Chan handily outperformed polling that showed her in third place. Her progressive supporters have often ascribed her ability to outperform the results of polls of monolingual Cantonese speakers, who are difficult for English-speaking pollsters to reach.
And her message to those Cantonese speakers? She took a swipe at Mayor Daniel Lurie as an out-of-touch rich guy and touted AIPAC as a model the Chinese community should replicate.
Leung asked Chan about Lurie’s decision not to support the Overpaid CEO Tax (before it failed at the ballot) and about his proposed cuts to community organizations. (He later followed through on those cuts, but they were not as devastating as anticipated.) Why make these cuts, Leung asked?
While Chan has been nothing but supportive of Lurie in the English-language press, she went on the offensive, saying the mayor’s personal experience led him not to back the Overpaid CEO Tax and to slash government spending.

Saikat has it right here. He is good on most issues other than his tragic flaw of supporting Chan.
America has your six

Here's my kit so I can be a street medic if the shit hits the fan after Nov 3. Also stocked up on food, water, and medical supplies with plenty for my neighbors.
I recommend at least stocking up on some essentials: it might be a bumpy ride the next few weeks.
If you are looking to get involved in election defense and live in the Bay Area here is a good group.

NIMBYs need to be brought down for every office they run for. They are not trustworthy. Also, housing and transit actually do matter at the federal level. Not sure why everyone is pretending they don't
Justice for our hero and martyr, Alex Pretti.
Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.
Connie Chan is a Zionist who advocates for a two state solution. It was even on her campaign website for a long time. She finally took it down but has not repudiated her previous stance.
"Connie Chan will advocate for a permanent ceasefire as a first step to a two-state solution"
More Emma Goldman, this time quoting Augustin Frédéric Adolphe Hamon.
"The positive method confirmed by the rational method enables us to establish an ideal type of Anarchist, whose mentality is the aggregate of common psychic characteristics. Every Anarchist partakes sufficiently of this ideal type to make it possible to differentiate him from other men. The typical Anarchist, then, may be defined as follows: A man perceptible by the spirit of revolt under one or more of its forms, – opposition, investigation, criticism, innovation, – endowed with a strong love of liberty, egoistic or individualistic, and possessed of great curiosity, a keen desire to know. These traits are supplemented by an ardent love of others, a highly developed moral sensitiveness, a profound sentiment of justice, and imbued with missionary zeal"
She adds: To the above characteristics, says Alvin F. Sanborn, must be added these sterling qualities: a rare love of animals, surpassing sweetness in all the ordinary relations of life, exceptional sobriety of demeanor, frugality and regularity, austerity, even, of living, and courage beyond compare
The funniest "Progressives" are those who are not anarchists, have not ready any anarchist theory but opine on who or who is not an anarchist.
Bonus points if they think anarchists support government regulations like zoning. 🏴
Who is the real patriot, or rather what is the kind of patriotism that we represent? The kind of patriotism we represent is the kind of patriotism which loves America with open eyes. Our relation towards America is the same as the relation of a man who loves a woman, who is enchanted by her beauty and yet who cannot be blind to her defects. And so I wish to state here, in my own behalf and in behalf of hundreds of thousands whom you decry and state to be antipatriotic, that we love America, we love her beauty, we love her riches, we love her mountains and her forests, and above all we love the people who have produced her wealth and riches, who have created all her beauty, we love the dreamers and the philosophers and the thinkers who are giving America liberty. But that must not make us blind to the social faults of America. That cannot make us deaf to the discords of America. That cannot compel us to be inarticulate to the terrible wrongs committed in the name of patriotism and in the name of the country. We simply insist, regardless of all protests to the contrary, that this war is not a war for democracy. If it were a war for the purpose of making democracy safe for the world, we would say that democracy must first be safe for America before it can be safe for the world. - Emma Goldman
And from this circumstance there arises in many, if they are candid enough to confess it, a certain degree of misology, that is, hatred of reason… and they end by envying, rather than despising, the more common stamp of men who keep closer to the guidance of mere instinct and do not allow their reason much influence on their conduct. - Kant
