Anyone can run a validator of up to 2,048 ETH through Lido on a 32 ETH bond.
0x02 CSM went live on 23 Oct. Stake arrives as a 32 ETH seed, then top-ups. Versus solo staking, Lido puts the capital multiplier at 2.18x to 2.26x.
It starts at about 32 keys.

An intruder at MetaMask Staking took 0.36 ETH in block tips.
The bill came after. Bitquery counts 16,965 validators sent to exit. Lido's share sits idle for up to 45 days. On 23 Oct Lido cut MetaMask's new deposits to zero.
The theft was the cheap bit.

Topgolf faced a 400% VMware price rise, so it moved 12,000 VMs off it.
Software costs down 77%. 650 VxRail hosts became about 400 PowerEdge servers in six months. 20 venues left to move by mid December.
Everyone talks licences. Look at the server count.

Ethereum's exit queue went past 40 days when Kiln pulled out. EIP-8061 would roughly quadruple exit capacity.
Activations stay capped at 256 ETH an epoch though.
So leaving gets faster. Joining doesn't. Last Call ends 1 Nov.

Everland ran VMware on AWS for six years. Then the licence change landed and they had about three months to get out.
They looked at going cloud native on AWS. Too slow, too risky for the deadline.
So they moved the whole thing to Nutanix on AWS in another three months. No customer facing outage.
Refactoring is the right answer on a whiteboard. On a three month clock you pick whatever keeps the architecture the same.

For years the Kubernetes rule was turn swap off.
The Kubernetes blog just tested node swap on NVMe. Sandboxed Python runtimes went from failing at 80 per node to 240.
Latency came from CPU, not swap. Fast local disk changes the maths.

8 Oct: Google Cloud Storage us-central1 write errors for 12h30m. Preliminary cause: a traffic sorting optimisation that exhausted backend nodes.
You cannot change-freeze your cloud provider. Owning the change calendar is an underrated reason to run your own metal.

Standard Chartered initiates coverage of Chainlink $LINK, forecasting a price of $200 by end of 2030
The bank sees Chainlink underpinning the tokenization trend, a market set to grow to $4 trillion by 2028
19,517 ETH into ethereum ETFs in a single day, 81,773 across the week
buying at that pace pulls ETH off the market faster than the network issues it, and staking what they hold shrinks the float further
thats a quiet supply squeeze that shows in price long after its underway
Ondo just launched tokenized stocks through DTCC entitlements, the same clearing rails banks use today
thats not a stock wrapper, thats plugged straight into the clearing layer
every tokenized asset needs infra running underneath it, that part never gets announced
