Today is the 25th Anniversary of 9/11.
We will always remember this as the darkest day in New York’s history. We remember all 3,000 lives lost, including 24 Canadians.
We also remember how first responders and citizens bravely ran towards the danger to help strangers. The volunteers from Toronto who went to New York to help and the residents of Gander, Newfoundland - who welcomed stranded people when flights were grounded into their homes.
