Proudly representing eastern CT. Creating good-paying shipbuilding jobs, lowering the cost of health care, and working across the aisle to get it done.

The Big Ugly Bill (H.R. 1) cut health care, gave a tax break to billionaires, and blew up the national debt.
It also gave $75B in special funding to Kristi Noem's ICE, which is now fueling the escalation of malfeasance by ICE agents across the country.
Last night's election will be remembered as a milestone for communities in Connecticut's Second District.
Voters turned out in support of a message focused on protecting our democracy, transparency, and affordability.
Big crowd and great energy in Colchester this afternoon with Democratic First Selectman Bernie Dennler, the entire Democratic slate and State Senator Norm Needleman. Bernie has done a great job and has a lot of momentum going into Election Day!
A really great time at the Andover Chili Cookoff today. Thanks to the Andover DTC and Chair Shannon Louden for organizing.

In a display of unity across the political aisle, the Young Democrats of Connecticut and Connecticut Young Republicans have issued a joint statement offering prayers for Charlie Kirk and condemning political violence:
I joined a big crowd in Enfield, with a large group of veterans, who are committed to our democracy. As Louis Brandeis said, “the most important office, and the one all of us can and should fill, is that of private citizen.” Today, the citizens spoke loud and clear – “NO KINGS!”
In Enfield, all over CT, and across the country today, thousands of Americans sent a clear message to Donald Trump, Elon Musk, & the GOP: hands off Social Security, health care, education, and our bedrock programs. Thank you for speaking up, turning out, and staying engaged.
1/4 Thank you to all the people of eastern Connecticut for sending me back to Congress. It is the greatest honor of my life to represent you in the U.S. House of Representatives, and I never have, and never will, take it for granted.
3/4 Most importantly, I have heard loud and clear the desire from all corners to restore civility and stability, not only in the halls of Congress, but in our nation's public arena and discourse, which is essential to unify our great nation.
Just got off the phone with @MikeFranceCT2 who graciously congratulated me on a hard fought victory.
I thanked him for his great service to our nation and his continued work in support of our Navy. Looking forward to going back to Washington to continue working for eastern CT.
