MMA will always be the best sport in the world to watch as far as the X’s & O’s of fighting, grit, stylistic matchups, etc.
But MMA at the elite level (especially the UFC), has taken a turn as far as matchmaking, star development, subjective reffing & judging, pay, etc.

Now it is becoming the worst. I say this as a fan, not fighter. We get no substance regarding athlete stories. The boss often not knowing who’s fighting on cards, matchups with no real purpose other than a fighter who’s paid well being knocked off by one on a DWCS contract.
Imagine if in football the refs could just throw a flag and say “they ran the ball too much and the other team can’t stop it, loss of down and 15 yard penalty”.
Thats the equivalent of standing up a fight from back control in MMA.

Dan Mirgliotta should be investigated or lose his job as a referee. You absolutely cannot stand up a fight from back control with a body triangle. Unacceptable. Referees need to answer for their horrible decisions and performances. #UFCVegas123
2 warnings for fence grabs is insane in a UFC fight with 0 points taken. Considering there was already 1 warning in the rules meeting in the back room… 3 strikes and you’re out? Make it make sense.

Th Eagles just got ROBBED at home. The overturned grounding. The late hit on Baun as ballcarrier fought for the 1st. The 2nd-to-last-play uncalled pass interference at the goal line on Goedert by a jersey-grabbing Skinner.
UFC Jitters type adrenaline dump. Mix’s legs aren’t working. Happens to the best of em. But definitely what it seems to be! Bautista looks awesome! #UFC316
