The final 2022 verdict for balance of power in Washington. GOP takes the House, narrowly, and DEMs +1 in Senate.
Five states - four holds; one pickup for DEMS - where GOP began 2022 confident. Other factors, too, but in all five Trump backed GOP nominees struggled in suburbs.
Senator Warnock, running constantly past two years in specials and runoffs, now has what for him has to be a strange new world: a six year term.

Keeping the Senate majority is giant. Federal judicial appointments, routine and political Cabinet turnover, votes/ leverage in $$ negotiations. Dem led oversight. Then add in escalating GOP infighting.

Still a lot we don’t know re where midterms leave us. But as he vents and blames others, this is beyond clear, Trump on losing side of last 3 big elections: 2018, 2020 and 2022.
