The 1993 San Francisco Giants won 103 games and didn’t even make the playoffs. That year’s NL WEST winner? The Atlanta Braves with 104 wins. Sometimes nothing makes sense but that’s how it goes.
Pittsburgh won 98 games in 2015, the second best record in baseball, and all it bought them was one game against Jake Arrieta.
Arrieta threw a complete game shutout at PNC Park, struck out 11, walked nobody, and the Cubs won 4 to 0.
The year before, the Pirates' Wild Card game was against Madison Bumgarner, and he shut them out too. Two straight Octobers that lasted exactly one night.

World Series pitcher in the modern era. In 5 games: 4-0, 1 save, 0.25 ERA, 31 strikeouts and 5 walks - he gave up 1 run on 14 hits in 36 innings.

These first drive penalties perfectly sum up the Blake Anderson era at A-State. Kicking a field goal after USM gave us two first downs through penalty sums up the Butch Jones era.

The BCS was a much better system than the farce that is coming. Legitimate teams were not included at times. How long before some 7-5 SEC team complains they were left out of the 24 team playoff?

Blowing up the regular season, against the wishes of almost all fans, just to assuage the egos of a handful of donors placate coaches worried about losing their 8-million-dollar jobs. What a waste.
Just turned over to the ULL/Tech game to hear the ESPN plus announcers refer to ULL as the team down south. Professionalism lives in Ruston.
I’ll give this to Butch. We sure find entertaining ways to lose at home. Last year we had a special teams and defensive score in a loss to ULL. Then there was whatever the hell happened last night.
Basically if we score more points tonight than we have against our other 4 FBS opponents combined, we might win. Otherwise…
We haven’t won 8 games in the regular season since 2018. It’s ok to be grumpy at this point or even downright unhappy. Unfortunately we now have a lot of apathy. I can’t blame anyone there. That said, I’m still making the 2 hour drive over Thursday to be grumpy in person.
